**๐จ SHARP IRON WIRES LEFT SCATTERED ON BATHINDA SPORTS STADIUM TRACK AFTER 15 AUGUST FUNCTION โ A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN**
One ground exposed the failure. The real question is โ how many other district stadiums remain unchecked and unsafe for athletes?
If sharp wires can be left carelessly on Bathindaโs track, how many more stadiums across the state are silently carrying the same danger?
These short pieces of iron wire (10โ20 cm), many with razor-sharp edges, were used to tie tents and equipment during the Independence Day ceremony at the sports stadium in Bathinda.
After the function ended, the responsible team simply cut them and left them lying on the walking and running tracks. No collection. No cleanup. No accountability.
Today these deadly sharp wires were found strewn across the ground โ exactly where athletes train and children play.
This is not ordinary negligence.
This is a clear failure of the District Administration, District Sports Department, and Punjab State Sports Department.
One wrong step, one fall, and a young athleteโs career can be finished. A future player can be injured for life. Dreams can be delayed or destroyed because authorities could not bother to pick up the wires they themselves used.
Is this how we treat our sports infrastructure?
Is this the care we show to the next generation of sportspersons?
The authorities must answer:
Who is responsible for the post-event cleanup?
Why were these sharp wires left on the tracks?
Will any action be taken, or will this be ignored like every other failure?
Athletes and citizens of Bathinda deserve better.
Sports grounds are not dumping yards.
