Recipe for samosas with tomato sauce and mint chutney:
*Samosa Recipe:*
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup ghee or oil
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- Filling: spiced potatoes, peas, and onions
*Tomato Sauce Recipe:*
- 2 cups chopped tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
*Mint Chutney Recipe:*
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup green chilies
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
*Instructions:*
1. *Make the samosa dough:*
- Combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add ghee or oil and mix well.
- Gradually add lukewarm water and knead the dough.
2. *Prepare the filling:*
- Boil and mash potatoes.
- Add peas, onions, and spices.
3. *Assemble and fry the samosas:*
- Roll out the dough and cut into triangles.
- Fill with the potato mixture and seal the edges.
- Fry until golden brown.
4. *Make the tomato sauce:*
- Blend tomatoes, onion, garlic, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
- Heat oil and sauté the mixture until thickened.
5. *Make the mint chutney:*
- Blend mint leaves, green chilies, onion, garlic, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice.
- Add water and mix well.
