सड़कों से मासूम कुत्तों को हटाने का आदेश आ चुका है, क्योंकि कहा जा रहा है कि ये लोगों के लिए ख़तरा हैं।
लेकिन ज़रा सोचिए — उन्हीं सड़कों पर खुलेआम घूमते बलात्कारी, अपराधी और हत्यारे क्या इंसानियत के लिए ख़तरा नहीं हैं?
मासूम जानवर, जिनकी आँखों में बस भूख और प्यार की तलाश है, उनके लिए तुरंत कार्रवाई, लेकिन उन दरिंदों के लिए, जो न जाने कितनी जिंदगियाँ तबाह कर चुके हैं — वहाँ कानून, तारीख़ पर तारीख़, और अनगिनत बहाने!
क्या यही इंसाफ़ है?
क्या हमारी प्राथमिकताएँ इतनी उलटी हो चुकी हैं कि चार पैरों वाले बेकसूर को हटाना आसान है,
लेकिन दो पैरों वाले असली हैवानों को पकड़ना नामुमकिन?

सच तो ये है —
शहर तब सुरक्षित होगा जब डर मासूम कुत्तों से नहीं, उन दरिंदों से होगा जो रात के अंधेरे में मासूमियत का गला घोंट देते हैं।
और इंसाफ़ तब कहलाएगा, जब पहले सज़ा का हक़दार वही होगा जिसने सबसे बड़ा ज़ुल्म किया है।

वरना… ये लड़ाई सिर्फ़ जानवरों से नहीं, हमारी इंसानियत से भी हार जाएगी।
