Election Affidavit Shows Ronghang Couple
Declared Assets Worth Rs 13.56 Crore
According to the election affidavit filed by Tuliram Ronghang, the current Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, he and his spouse have declared combined assets worth Rs 13.56 crore. The affidavit shows that Ronghang’s total declared movable assets stand at Rs 2,23,58,735.21, while his spouse has declared movable assets worth Rs 2,30,16,087.91. In terms of immovable property, Ronghang has declared assets worth Rs 2,73,00,000, while his spouse’s immovable assets are listed at Rs 6,29,20,000. Taken together, the total declared assets of the couple amount to Rs 13,55,94,823.12, or about Rs 13.56 crore.
The affidavit also records their income for FY 2024–25, with Tuliram Ronghang declaring an annual income of Rs 1,05,67,010 and his spouse declaring Rs 61,07,184. The source of income for both has been listed as government salary. Ronghang’s occupation is mentioned as Chief Executive Member, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, while his spouse is described as a government employee in the Office of the Additional Chief Engineer, Irrigation, Karbi Anglong, Diphu.
The disclosed movable assets include multiple bank accounts, fixed deposits, insurance policies, gold ornaments and a Ford Endeavour. The immovable assets section lists agricultural land, non-agricultural land and residential properties held in the names of both Ronghang and his spouse. The affidavit also indicate that there are no pending criminal cases, no conviction cases, and no major liabilities shown against the candidate in the visible sections.
