The sudden death of Imran Hussain, President of Kulicherra Rajnagar Gaon Panchayat, turned into a sensational case after police uncovered a shocking murder plot. On August 10, Hussain collapsed and died soon after having dinner, and his family members initially believed it to be a heart attack. However, doubts grew when relatives noticed the unusual conduct of his wife, Rina Begum, and their driver, Biju Ahmed.
Suspicion deepened after some of Hussain’s close friends detained Biju and checked his mobile phone, where they discovered WhatsApp chats between him and Rina that pointed towards a planned crime. They immediately informed the police, who took both Rina and Biju into custody. During interrogation, both reportedly confessed to the murder, confirming that Hussain’s dismissal of Biju—after learning about his illicit affair with Rina—had led them to plan the killing.
According to police, Biju admitted he had plotted Hussain’s death to acquire wealth. On the night of the incident, he bought poison and handed it to Rina, who secretly mixed it with her husband’s food, leading to his death. Along with the couple, Rina’s father, younger brother, and sister were also arrested for their suspected role in the crime, making the case even more disturbing for the local community.
