Widely believed to be the real-life inspiration for Dracula, Vlad the Impaler perpetrated untold atrocities during his 15th-century reign over what's now Romania. When the Ottomans invaded in 1462, they found themselves in a "forest of the impaled" stretching for as long as 60 miles and made up of some 23,000 Ottomans that Vlad had already killed, mounted on spikes, and left for the invaders to see. They retreated the next day. Learn the full story of Vlad Dracula and see how he may have inspired history's most famous vampire: https://inter.st/sgk0
