Ajith Kumar is set to star in , directed by . The film's shooting is expected to begin in late August or early September. The team is planning to wrap up the entire shoot by December.

Question - I'm not sure if you've watched multiple times, but I watched it again yesterday. My question is this: You could have simply remade as it was. But since this is Sir's final film, you've gone far beyond that and added so many new elements. Why did you do that?

Vijay Sir is a very powerful and influential personality. When you're making a film for someone of that stature, you naturally think about how much more you can say through the film. That's why we moved beyond a straightforward remake. We never worried about whether people would accept these additions or whether they would seem too small. Our only thought was: how much can we express, and how subtly can we convey it? Even something as simple as a name appearing in the background or a small symbolic reference—if it helps communicate an idea, we include it. That was our approach throughout the film.

: We kept the runtime because the story genuinely required it. Most of the feedback I've received says that the film feels so engaging that audiences don't even notice the three-hour duration. People are simply watching it as a gripping cinematic experience, and I haven't come across any major criticism about the runtime being too long.

: I'll be very open about it. I even wanted the producer to appear in a scene. There was a line in the song that he was supposed to sing, but he asked me, "What's the meaning of this line?" I explained it to him, and then he asked, "Will singing this line create any problems for me?" I told him, "Sir, compared to the challenges we're already facing while making this film, singing this one line won't create any bigger problem.
