The Odisha government has approved a comprehensive restructuring of the ODISHA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED (OTDC), marking a major policy shift aimed at making the state agency commercially viable and investment-focused. The revamp will reposition OTDC as a facilitator for tourism infrastructure development, expand public-private partnership ( ) projects, strengthen destination , and improve operational efficiency.
The move aligns with the Odisha Tourism (Amendment) Policy 2026, which seeks to attract higher private investment through incentives such as 100% stamp duty exemption, -duty waivers, and faster single-window clearances for tourism projects. The policy also envisages OTDC playing a larger role in developing tourism infrastructure, promoting lesser-known destinations, operating quality hospitality assets, and marketing the state globally.
