🦚Birth of Krishna (Mathura → Gokul)
🪷Krishna was born in Mathura, in Kansa’s prison, to Vasudeva and Devaki.
🪷To protect Him from Kansa’s cruelty, Vasudeva carried the newborn Krishna across the Yamuna at midnight during heavy rain.
🪷He reached Gokul, where Nanda Maharaj and Yashoda Mata lived🌼
🦚Krishna’s Childhood in Gokul
🌸Gokul is famous for Krishna’s sweet childhood pastimes.
🌸Putana Vadh: The demoness Putana came to kill baby Krishna by feeding poison, but Krishna sucked her life away.
🌸 Shakatasura Vadh: As an infant, Krishna overturned the cart demon.
🌸Trinavarta Vadh: Krishna killed the whirlwind demon.
🌸His early divine plays (Bal Leela) made the people of Gokul feel great bliss.
🦚Makhan Chori (Butter Stealing)
🌺Krishna is lovingly remembered as Makhan Chor (butter thief).
🌺 Along with Balarama and the Gopas, He used to steal butter from the houses of the Gopis.
🌺This was not mischief but divine play, showing His bond with devotees.
🦚Daan Leela & Gopis’ Love
🌻 Krishna teased the Gopis by blocking their way and asking for Daan (tax).
🌻These playful acts symbolized the eternal love between God and devotee.
🦚Move from Gokul to Vrindavan
🪻Kansa repeatedly sent demons to kill Krishna in Gokul.
🪻 To protect Him, Nanda Maharaj shifted his family from Gokul to Vrindavan, where Krishna performed many later pastimes (like Govardhan Leela, Kaliya Naag Mardan, etc.).
🏞️ Gokul in Later History
🌼During the Bhakti movement, saints like Vallabhacharya made Gokul a major pilgrimage site.
🌼It became the center of the Pushtimarg tradition, which worships Krishna as Shri Nathji / Bal Krishna.
