Aliens Are Enormous, Science Suggests:
Aliens, if they exist, are likely huge. At least that’s the conclusion of a new paper by cosmologist Fergus Simpson, who has estimated that the average weight of intelligent extraterrestrials would be 650 pounds (300 kilograms) or more. ET would have paled in comparison to these interstellar behemoths.

The argument relies on a mathematical model that assumes organisms on other planets obey the same laws of conservation of energy that we see here on Earth—namely, that larger animals need more resources and expend more energy, and thus are less abundant. There are many small ants, for example, but far fewer whales or elephants.

Thus, throughout the universe, as is the case on Earth, there are likely more small animals than large ones, says Simpson, a scientist at the University of Barcelona. Since the number of planets inhabited by relatively small animals would outnumber the amount of worlds where large ones predominate, it is most likely that we find ourselves on a planet with relatively small animals—and are ourselves probably one of the smaller intelligent beings, he adds.

A state-level gold medallist boxer, Rishu Mittal, is being forced to work as a domestic help to continue her passion for the sport and to support her schooling.

The class tenth student toils hard to support herself and her brother.

Her coach Rajinder Singh said that Rishu is a promising talent, but needs support to flourish and prove her mettle on t he big stage.

"The girl and her brother hail from a poor family. Rishu washes utensils, cleans the floor, cooks and does other jobs of a domestic help to raise some money," he told reporters.

Describing Uddhav Thackeray as a tiger "who roams only on home pitch", All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has dared the Shiv Sena president to visit Hyderabad.

"If you (Uddhav) are the Tiger, then why isn't the tiger stepping out? What type of tiger is this who roams only in his home, Mumbai and Maharashtra," Owaisi said, addressing an election rally last night for the 11 April bypoll in Bandra East constituency.

"Look at us, we move around all over India. If you have the guts, you should come to Hyderabad," he said.

"What did Uddhav Thackeray say? He said Narayan Rane (Congress candidate) will forfeit his deposit and the fight was between Sena and MIM.

Uddhav Thackeray calls us 'Hyderabad wale'. You are naadan (naive) and naasamaz (witless). Your entire life has been spent in the shadow of your father," Owaisi said.
