PM orders to build house for football star Rupna Chakma

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the authorities concerned to build a house for Rupna Chakma, a proud member of Bangladesh Women Football Team that clinched the title of SAFF Women's Championship, 2022 beating host Nepal by 3-1 goals, at her Rangamati home town.

The premier, now in New York to attend the 77th UNGA summit, gave the instruction after her attention was caught on a picture of Rupna Chakma's dilapidated house that went viral on the social media.

PM's Press Secretary Ihasanul Karim told BSS that the Prime Minister ordered to build a house for Rupna Chakma, who became the best goalkeeper in the just-concluded SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal.

However, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rangamati, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman visited the homes of Rupna Chakma and her fellow player Ritu Porna with sweets, fruits and flowers to greet them for winning maiden SAFF Women's Championship title for Bangladesh.

Honourable MLA Dr. Buddha Dhan Chakma conducted a Free Health Clinic yesterday at Rawnte Zau hamlet in Mizoram. Total 68 patients were examined & given free medicines.
He said, "This hamlet is well-known for banana cultivation in Mizoram. More than 200 farming families adopted banana cultivation as their prime livelihood.
There is no electricity & no govt water facility & no banana processing unit at this hamlet".

He urged that & should come forward to promote this banana cultivation for better harvesting & better income of the hardworking banana growers.

26th June 2022 ( Diyun): International Day against Drug abuse & Trafficking organised by Changlang District Police which was jointly observed by Diyun Administration, Diyun Police, APCSU, APHSU and GBs of peripheral villages under Diyun Circle. During the Drug Awareness March which was attended by S Roy ( EAC, Diyun), SN Rango ( OC Diyun, Drishya Muni Chakma ( President, APCSU), Raghunath Hajong ( President, APHSU) and respected GBs and APCSU / APHSU members. Visited 3 red zones areas of drug peddling and caution those peddlers and consumers to immediately stop for the greater interest of self and General public.
Drugs has eminently become a serious challenge for the society, threatening to devour the youth - the backbone of the nation. Drugs lead to fatal and chronic health problems and destroys personal, social and professional lives.

Bangladesh Boxing Foundation (BBF) initiated the first professional boxing event "Ultimate Glory Fight Night" on 19th May,2022.

The match got scheduled between Bangladesh and Nepal, another way of saying it , Sura Krishna Chakma Vs Gurkha. Krishna won an awesome win with the prizemoney of 20k taka.

Sura Krishna Chakma is an Indigenous boxer from Rangamati. Krishna completed his secondary education at Rangamati Gov High School in 2009. Later in his life took some excellent turns, he made his debut in professional boxing in India in 2016. He won two matches while gaining help from Bangladeshi-British boxer Ali Jaco. Later he lost contact with Ali, and so did his professional career. But Krishno didn't take no for an answer. He came back in one of the most outstanding ways ever.

DANGER ZONE OF MARINA CHAKMA CASE: GENERAL PUBLIC FEAR

The Honorable court recently heard the Marina Case. The court noted that there is no representation from the petitioner.

Now, the question is why the persons who are monitoring the case have not followed up with the concern advocate. Is negligence the way of their working style? They are risking with the future of Chakma youths in Arunachal Pradesh. The court is to deliver justice but when the monitoring persons do not represent before honorable court, how the court will provide to victim?

The blame is to be given to those who are dormantly following up the case.
