Every time I find my Indian flag among a sea of flags, it still gives me goosebumps. 🇮🇳
Independence has always meant something deeply personal to me. As the grandchild of someone who served the nation and left almost everything behind to start from zero, I grew up hearing stories of sacrifice, resilience and putting the country before yourself. Looking back at that journey has always been overwhelming.
And maybe that's why seeing our Tricolour standing tall, alongside the flags of nations from around the world, feels different to me. It isn't just a flag. It carries generations of sacrifice, courage, hope and the freedom to build the life we have today.
Today, I remember the freedom fighters who gave everything for our independence, the soldiers and armed forces who continue to protect it, and the countless heroes whose names may never make it into history books but who quietly keep this country moving forward.
I also feel proud seeing the confidence with which India is representing itself on the global stage today, and I deeply respect the role played by Narendra Modi ji in strengthening India's global presence and its sense of self-belief.
Because Independence isn't only about the freedom we won in 1947.
It's also about the freedom to dream, to build, to create, to question, to grow—and to decide what we want our future to look like.
So today, I don't just celebrate **Azadi**.
I celebrate everyone who fought for it, everyone who protects it, and everyone who continues to build India every single day.
Happy Independence Day, India. 🇮🇳
Some flags represent countries.
Ours carries a story.
