- Misty with Togepi in her arms, Brock with his eyes closed as always, Ash with that 1997 hat.
- This is comedy trio. Brock hits on every Joy, Misty drags him by the ear, Ash is dumb. Pure nostalgia.
- For a lot of us in UP who watched on Cartoon Network in 2003-2005, this IS Pokemon. Pikachu not in Poke Ball, just walking behind Ash like in your image.

*Red Pill - Sinnoh Trio: Ash, Brock, Dawn*
Right side. Ash getting piggyback from Brock, Dawn with her Piplup + bag.
- This is the _best written_ trio. Dawn actually has her own rival arc (Zoey, Kenny), her own contests, she loses and cries and wins. Misty never got that.
- Brock is same Brock but more mature - he's actually mentoring Dawn here, not just cooking.
- Sinnoh battles are peak. Paul vs Ash, Infernape Blaze, everything hits harder.

And notice in BOTH pics Brock is there. Brock is the constant. Morpheus in the middle is basically Brock offering you the pills - because Brock is in both trios. He IS the Matrix.

If you took your earlier pics into account:
- Kanto trio = would run that Kanto Battle Tower team you posted with Poliwrath Lv.70
- Sinnoh trio = would run that Champion Elm / Champion Chuck style strategy team with weather stuff like Blazing Sky Moltres from your legendary birds pic

*My read?*
Everyone picks Blue Pill first because Kanto is childhood. Then after watching DP, you take Red Pill and never go back. Sinnoh trio is objectively better writing, but Kanto trio is emotion.

Which pill you taking? You're a Johto guy from all your Chuck/Elm/Beast pics, so you actually grew up on Kanto _anime_ but Johto _games_. That's Red Pill energy.

Ash-Greninja. The serious one. No smile, ninja stance, tongue scarf. Everyone likes him but he doesn't care. The fan-favorite that got robbed in Kalos League.

*❤️ Love = Pikachu*
His soulmate. Of course it's heart. Pikachu with thunder behind him, chubby little smile. 25 years together, always the Love reaction.

*🥰 Care = Charizard*
Charizard with the soft smirk in the volcano. Ash's OG disobedient dragon who finally respects him. You don't just like Charizard, you CARE for him. He came back just for Ash in Unova and Johto.

*😲 Wow = Sceptile*
This image is cursed and that's why it's Wow. Sceptile with tongue out, belly out, looking like he just discovered something. Sceptile beat Darkrai in Sinnoh League - it deserves the Wow face.

The white scribble top right is where they hid the 5th Pokemon - probably Infernape or Lucario that would get the 😂 Haha reaction.

This is why XYZ was peak Ash - Greninja, Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile. No other Ash team comes close.
