As the plane soared through the sky, Captain James's voice came over the intercom, "Welcome aboard, ladies and gentlemen! We're cruising at an altitude of 35,000 feet, and you'll notice the horizon stretching out endlessly in every direction."
The passengers gazed out the windows, mesmerized by the flat expanse of land and water below. Some pulled out their cameras, snapping photos of the ice wall looming in the distance.
"That's the edge of our world," Captain James explained, "the great ice wall that keeps us safe from the unknown."
As the plane flew alongside the wall, the passengers marveled at its sheer size and majesty. Some wondered what lay beyond, but Captain James just smiled knowingly.
One passenger, a young woman named Sarah, approached the cockpit. "Captain, what's it like to fly over the edge?" she asked.
Captain James chuckled. "You don't want to go there, trust me. The Firmament above is solid, and the waters below are treacherous. We're safe within our flat world."
Sarah nodded, eyes wide with wonder. As she returned to her seat, she gazed out the window, taking in the breathtaking view of the flat Earth stretching out to the horizon.
The plane leveled off, and the pilot's voice came over the intercom once more. "We'll be landing soon. Please fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the rest of the flight."
As the passengers settled in for landing, they couldn't help but feel grateful for this glimpse into the mysterious workings of their flat world. The plane touched down smoothly, and the passengers applauded as Captain James brought them safely back to solid ground.
