Sorry 😂 this is what it is 🤪

“Tum pagal ho, tum naye maa-baap bane ho… humne bhi bachche paale hain, sugar khilayi hai.”

Moms, so you also hear this all the time?😊

But here’s the thing—

I’m not telling anyone else how to raise their child.

I’m the mom. I’m the one planning the meals, reading labels, saying no to unnecessary sugar, and putting in the extra effort because I believe it matters.

Maybe you as parents did things differently. Maybe you did the best you could with the information you had.

But if I know better today, why wouldn’t I try to do better?

Choosing healthier food for my child isn’t a judgment on anyone else’s parenting.
It’s simply a choice I’m making for my own child.

And honestly, if I’m willing to put in the effort, why does that bother people so much? 🤍

Every family has the right to decide what’s best for their kids.
This is what feels right for mine.

I’m teaching my daughter something I wish more girls were taught growing up… ✨

Be kind.
Be respectful.
Don’t pick fights.
Don’t hurt others just to feel powerful.

But also — never believe that staying silent while someone hurts you is “good behavior.”

I don’t want her to grow up thinking she has to tolerate disrespect just to be called a “nice girl.”
I want her to know the difference between being gentle and being weak. And they are NOT the same thing.

So yes, I’ll teach her:
🌸 Don’t start fights.
🌸 Don’t insult people.
🌸 Don’t bully.
🌸 Don’t try to prove strength by putting others down.

But I’ll also teach her:
✨ If someone crosses your boundaries, speak up.
✨ If someone mistreats you, protect yourself.
✨ If someone tries to silence you, use your voice louder.
✨ If someone thinks your kindness means you can be pushed around, prove them wrong.

Because confidence is not aggression.
And self-respect is not “attitude.”

The world often tells girls to stay soft, quiet, adjusting, forgiving… even when they’re uncomfortable.
But I want my daughter to know that she is allowed to say:
“No.”
“Stop.”
“That’s not okay.”
And she never has to apologize for protecting her peace.

I hope she grows into someone who is calm but courageous…
someone who chooses kindness first, but never accepts disrespect in return.

Not every battle is worth fighting.
But knowing when to stand up for yourself?
That’s a life skill every child deserves to learn. 🤍
