Kohli Leads RCB to Back-to-Back IPL Titles with Commanding Win Over Gujarat Titans

Ahmedabad, June 1: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) crowned a dominant Indian Premier League campaign with their second consecutive title, defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

RCB’s triumph was built on a disciplined bowling performance and a trademark chase from Virat Kohli, who remained unbeaten on 75 to guide his side to victory with 12 balls to spare.

After being put under pressure by RCB’s bowlers, Gujarat Titans could only manage 155 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. The Bengaluru attack maintained tight lines and lengths throughout the innings, preventing the Titans from building momentum at any stage.

In reply, RCB approached the chase with confidence and composure. Kohli anchored the innings with a masterful 75 not out off 42 balls, combining calculated aggression with his renowned ability to pace a run chase. His innings ensured that Bengaluru stayed firmly in control despite losing a few wickets along the way.

RCB eventually reached 161 for 5 in 18 overs, sealing a comfortable five-wicket victory and underlining the dominance they had displayed throughout the season.

The final once again highlighted Kohli’s reputation as one of the game’s greatest chasers. With the pressure of a title decider on his shoulders, the former RCB captain delivered when it mattered most, steering his side to another championship and capping off a memorable night for the franchise.

The victory marks RCB’s second IPL title in succession, cementing their status as the team to beat in the tournament and adding another glorious chapter to the franchise’s history.
