Respected Sir,

I, Tanveer Rishu social activist from Jakyas, J&K, am writing to bring to your attention the devastating impact of recent heavy rains, floods, and cloudbursts in rural areas of Block Chilly ,Jakyas,Kahara and other parts of the Doda 52 constituency. The affected areas have suffered extensive damage to houses, land, and property, leaving many families in dire need of assistance.

*Demands for Relief:*

1. *Extraordinary Relief:* Provision of additional free ration for 6.months to affected families.
2. *Kisan Credit Loan:* Waiver or deferment of Kisan Credit Loans for affected farmers.
3. *Land Leveling and Protection Walls:* Direction to the RDD Department to provide individual land leveling and protection walls for houses.through RDD Dept NAREGA jobcards
4. *Special Package:* Announcement of a special relief package by the J&K Government and Central Government for affected areas in the constituency.

- Block Chilly
- Block Jakyas
- Kahara Thatri,
- Whole Doda 52 constituency

*Relief Measures Sought:*

- Cash relief for affected families
- Free additional ration for 6. months
- Restoration of damaged properties
- Support for families whose houses are at serious risk due to land and property damage.

We urge you to take immediate action and appeal to the J&K Government and Central Government to provide the necessary relief and support to the affected communities. Your prompt intervention in this matter will bring much-needed relief to the sufferers.

With due respect, I wish to draw your attention to the serious difficulties being faced by the people of Jakyas due to the J&K Bank Branch Code: 0607 (Jakyas Branch) remaining non-functional for over a week.

For thousands of people in this hilly and remote area, this branch is not just a bank but the only source of financial access. Students depend on it for scholarships, pensioners for their survival, daily wage earners for their payments, and small traders for running their businesses. The sudden breakdown of services has left the community in severe distress, forcing them to travel long distances through difficult terrain for even the smallest banking needs.

This continued disruption has caused hardship to families, delayed financial transactions, and created uncertainty in the lives of common people. In an era where timely access to financial services is directly linked to education, health care, and livelihoods, the closure of the branch for such a long time is deeply concerning.

Sir, J&K Bank has always enjoyed the trust of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and has been known for its public service. In keeping with this tradition, we earnestly request your immediate intervention for the restoration of services at Jakyas Branch (0607). It would also be highly appreciated if the Bank could prepare a contingency plan such as mobile banking vans or temporary service counters to avoid such disruptions in the future.

Your urgent action will bring much-needed relief to the people of Jakyas and strengthen their faith in J&K Bank’s commitment to serving its customers with dedication and care.
