One woman labourer lost her life and around 10 workers were injured in the tragic collapse of an under-construction bridge on Gandoh Gill Kunana road in area of Gandoh–Bhallessa .

MLA Mehraj Din Malik, DC Krishan Lal Review GIS-Based Master Plan for Planned & Sustainable Development of Doda 🌿
Mehraj Malik along with Krishan Lal chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the GIS-Based Master Plan for Doda district, focusing on scientific urban planning, sustainable infrastructure and future-ready development.
Speaking during the meeting, MLA Mehraj Din Malik emphasized proper municipal boundary demarcation, protection of sinking zones in Doda city, improved waste disposal systems, uninterrupted power supply in schools, open gyms, parks and large-scale plantation drives with special focus on fruit-bearing plants. He also stressed inclusive public participation and disaster-resilient planning for balanced and environmentally sustainable development.
Speaking during the meeting, DC Krishan Lal highlighted the importance of technology-driven and scientific planning for systematic urban expansion, better civic amenities, transparent governance and efficient resource management. He directed all departments to provide updated maps, records and field data for timely preparation of an accurate and people-centric master plan.
Key discussions included land use mapping, road connectivity, disaster management, drainage systems, green zones, tourism promotion, beautification projects, traffic management and regulation of construction activities through modern GIS technology.
The DC further reiterated the administration’s commitment towards strengthening water supply infrastructure, environmental protection and coordinated development planning to meet future needs of Doda district.
