🌽 مکئی کا پودا (Maize Plant)

🔬 سائنسدانوں کے مطابق

عام نام: مکئی

سائنسی نام: Zea mays

خاندان: Poaceae (گھاس کا خاندان)

🌱 مکئی کے پودے کی ساخت

1. جڑیں (Roots):

ریشے دار (Fibrous) جڑیں ہوتی ہیں۔

کچھ جڑیں زمین کے اوپر سے نکلتی ہیں جنہیں سہارا دینے والی جڑیں (Prop roots) کہتے ہیں۔

2. تنا (Stem):

سیدھا، گول اور ٹھوس ہوتا ہے۔

مختلف حصوں (internodes) میں تقسیم ہوتا ہے۔

3. پتے (Leaves):

لمبے، پتلے اور نوکیلے ہوتے ہیں۔

ہر پتے میں سیدھی لائنوں جیسی رگیں ہوتی ہیں (Parallel venation)۔

4. پھول (Flowers):

Monoecious یعنی نر اور مادہ پھول ایک ہی پودے پر ہوتے ہیں مگر الگ الگ جگہ پر۔

نر پھول (Tassel): اوپر والے حصے پر ہوتے ہیں۔

مادہ پھول (Ear/Cob): پتے کی گانٹھوں میں ہوتے ہیں، اور ان سے ریشے (Silks) نکلتے ہیں۔

5. پھل (Fruit):

مکئی کا پھل دانہ (grain) ہوتا ہے، جسے سائنسی طور پر caryopsis کہا جاتا ہے۔

دانے مختلف رنگوں میں ہو سکتے ہیں: پیلا، سفید، جامنی، سرخ وغیرہ۔
