*Doda Police Intensifies War Against Drugs Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan; Awareness Drives and Cannabis Eradication Operations Conducted Across District*

Continuing its sustained efforts against drug abuse and narcotic cultivation under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Doda Police organized a series of awareness programmes and enforcement drives across different subdivisions of the district.
At Government Higher Secondary School Abli Masri Malwana, Police Post Gundna, led by IC PP Gundna, conducted a comprehensive drug awareness programme aimed at sensitizing students about the harmful effects of substance abuse. The programme emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free lifestyle. Students actively participated and pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free society.
Similarly, at Government High School Pul Doda, Police Post Pul Doda, led by IC PP Pul Doda, organized an awareness lecture under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Officials from the Health Department and Social Welfare Department also participated and addressed the students on the social, psychological, and legal consequences of drug addiction. The programme concluded with an interactive session focusing on prevention, awareness, and youth empowerment.
In another significant initiative, Police Station Assar, under the leadership of SHO PS Assar, organized a Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness programme at the BDO Office Assar in collaboration with the Rural Development Department and prominent members of Panchayat Assar. Around 35–40 participants attended the programme. During the event, police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and appealed to the public to cooperate by sharing information regarding narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and substance abuse activities in society.
As part of the enforcement measures, Police Station Assar also carried out a special drive for the identification and destruction of wild cannabis plants growing within its jurisdiction. The operation was conducted successfully as part of the ongoing campaign against narcotic substances.
Likewise, Police Station Thathri, led by SHO PS Thathri, organized an IEC (Information, Education and Communication) campaign in collaboration with allied departments at Higher Secondary School Nandana, Thathri. The programme focused on educating students and local residents about the dangers of drug abuse and the collective responsibility of society in combating this social menace.
Further strengthening anti-narcotics efforts, Police Station Thathri destroyed wild cannabis cultivation spread over approximately one kanal of land near a known hotspot area within its jurisdiction. The action was undertaken as part of the district-wide drive to eliminate illegal narcotic cultivation.
Meanwhile, Police Post Goha, Marmat, led by IC PP Goha, conducted a special operation against the illegal growth of wild cannabis plants. During the drive, police personnel identified and destroyed wild cannabis vegetation found at various locations within the jurisdiction, thereby preventing its misuse and reinforcing the anti-drug campaign.
Doda Police remains committed to its mission of creating a drug-free society through sustained awareness, community participation, and strict enforcement against narcotic cultivation and trafficking. The public has been urged to actively support law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to drug abuse and illegal narcotics activities.
