*Doda Police Traces Missing Lady from Gangyal, Jammu, and Reunites her with family*

On 14/07/2025, a missing person complaint was lodged at Police Post Pul Doda by Smt. Pinky Devi W/O Sh. Pritam Lal, resident of Bhatta Paryote, Tehsil & District Doda, stating that her daughter, Priya Devi (Age: 21 years), had gone missing from home on the same day. Despite efforts by the family to trace her, they were unable to find any leads.

Acting on the complaint, a missing report was registered in the daily diary of Police Post Pul Doda under DDR No. 14 dated 14/07/2025, and a dedicated search operation was launched.

Under the guidance of SSP Doda, a special team was constituted, led by IC Police Post Pul Doda, and operating under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda and SHO PS Doda, with the support of the ESU Doda and reliable human intelligence.

As a result of persistent efforts, the missing girl was successfully traced on 22/07/2025 from the Gangyal area of Jammu. After completing all legal formalities, including the recording of her statement, she was safely handed over to her legal heirs.

The missing report has since been officially closed as "Traced" under DDR No. 13 dated 22/07/2025 at Police Post Pul Doda.

This timely and sensitive action highlights the dedication and efficiency of Doda Police in addressing cases of public concern and reaffirming their commitment to citizen safety and swift response.

Today, Police Station Bhaderwah and Thathri organized an awareness program under the *Bharosa*.

The programe was organized at at Govt. Girls High Secondary School, link Road, Bhaderwah and Premnagar Thathri.

During the program, PSIs Chhaya Pikhan and Ravish, along with Women help desk staff ASI Nirmala of PS Bhaderwah,lady constable Rubina of PS Thathri at premnagar and interacted with female students of the school and general women flock. The team sensitized the participants about their legal rights, police procedures, provisions of the new criminal laws, and issues related to cyber crimes.

**Doda Administration Detains individual under PSA, lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah**

**Doda, July 19, 2025** – In a decisive move to ensure public order and maintain communal harmony, the District Police Doda has detained Hafizullah, son of late Mohd Iqbal resident of Village Nilote, Assar, under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

The detention order has been issued by the District Magistrate Doda on the basis of dossier from SSP Doda stating there in that the said individual's act of slaughtering an animal considered sacred and wilfully placing its remains in public place had led to public order situation in the area. The detention order issued by DM Doda aimed at maintaining public order and communal harmony in the district.

District Administration Doda has appealed to the public to respect religious sentiments of all communities while maintaining that any such act aimed at wilfully causing communal discord and hampering public order shall be dealt strictly under law.

*District Police Doda Organises Inter-School Debate on Drug Abuse at Police Public School Doda*

In a significant step towards engaging the youth in the fight against drug abuse, District Police Doda, under the guidance of *Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta (JKPS)* , organised an inter-school debate competition at Police Public School (PPS) Doda on Saturday. The event was hosted at the District Police Lines (DPL) Doda and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across ten schools in the district.

Students from institutions such as Police Public School Doda, Chenab Valley Public School, Shaheen Public School, Green Model Higher Secondary School, Aeir Public School, Skylark School, Government Middle School Nagri, Asrar-ul-Iqbal Academy, and Kids Kingdom School came together to express their views on the pressing issue of drug abuse. The young speakers passionately articulated their thoughts, emphasizing the importance of awareness, community responsibility, and youth leadership in eradicating the growing drug menace.

The competition was graced by ASP Doda Sh. Mohd Aslam (JKPS) as the Chief Guest and DySP DAR Sh. Adil Rishu (JKPS), who also serves as the nodal officer of PPS Doda, as the Guest of Honour. The jury comprised Mrs. Rubina, ZEPO Doda, Sh. Shabir Ahmed, Senior Lecturer in Political Science, and Sh. Ayaz Mughal, Retired CEO Doda — all of whom applauded the high level of insight and delivery demonstrated by the participants.

In a closely contested event, Sanvi Manhas, a Class 7 student of Police Public School Doda, emerged as the winner of the first prize for her eloquent and well-reasoned argument. Usaid-bin-Liyakat of Shaheen Public School secured the second position, while Maahnoor Niear from Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda claimed third place with her thoughtful presentation.

All participants were honoured with medals and certificates of participation as a token of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts.

Addressing the students, ASP Doda Mohd Aslam JKPS praised their confidence and urged them to become ambassadors of change in their respective communities. DySP DAR doda Adil Rishu also lauded the initiative and encouraged continued student involvement in awareness campaigns and social responsibility programs.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to work toward building a drug-free society and a vote of thanks to all who contributed to the success of the programme

DGP J&K, Sh. Nalin Prabhat, IPS, visits RPHQ Batote, conducts review of operations.

Batote, July 18, 2025 –
Director General of Police, J&K, Sh. Nalin Prabhat -IPS visited Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Batote to review the security, law and order situation, and administrative readiness in the Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range.

He was received by DIG DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil-IPS, along with the SSP Ramban, SSP Traffic NHW, and other senior officers.

A detailed review meeting was held to assess deployment for SANJY–2025, highway security, and anti-terrorist operations. The DGP lauded the efforts of civil and police administration in ensuring a peaceful Yatra till now and emphasised to ensure peaceful conduct of it. He stressed on strengthening of intelligence grid and focused attention on conducting successful operations.

The visit reinforced the significance of inter-agency coordination in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

*DODA POLICE TRACED OUT MISSING LADY AND RE-UNITED WITH HER FAMILY.*

July, 18-2025.

A missing report of a lady namely Kajal Devi D/o Somnath R/o Chanderbatan Tehsil Bhagwah District Doda was entered at PS Dessa on 06.07.2025 and now she has been traced and re-united with her family.

Official sources while giving details has said that Kajal Devi D/o Somnath R/o Chanderbatan Tehsil Bhagwah District Doda was entered at PS Dessa had gone missing and her missing report was entered at Police Station Dessa on 06.07.2025.

Soon after registration of the missing report, search of the said lady was started. On the directions of SSP Doda, a team was constituted from PS Dessa led by SHO PS Dessa DySP (P) Aeshal Nisar in search of missing lady. The Police team by using all possible means as well as technical help, succeeded in tracing her out today on 18.07.2025. Accordingly, after completing all codal formalities, the lady has been handed over to her family and missing report has been closed.

*THEFT CASE SOLVED – STOLEN MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED, ACCUSED ARRESTED BY POLICE STATION DODA*

On July 7, 2025, a written complaint was received at Police Station Doda from Feroz Ahmed S/O Abdul Latief R/O Chinar Morh Pul Doda, regarding the theft of his motorcycle bearing registration number JK06A-3945, stolen from Chinar Morh Pul Doda.

Acting on the complaint, Case FIR No. 161/2025 under Section 303(2) of the BNS Act was registered at Police Station Doda, and investigation was initiated promptly.

On the directions of *SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS* a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of SHO Doda, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, and ICPP Pul Doda, PSI Ishan Sharma.

During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up for questioning. A breakthrough was achieved when a suspect identified as Umair Trak S/O Jaffar Hussain R/O Pranoo, Bhaderwah was apprehended. On sustained interrogation, he confessed to the crime, and on his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.

Further investigation is underway.

Doda, July 17, 2025 –
Director General of Police, J&K, *Sh. Nalin Prabhat -IPS* visited Bhadarwah to review the security, law and order, anti-terror operations, and administrative readiness in the twin districts of *Doda and Kishtwar*.

He was received by *DIG DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil-IPS*, along with the *SSP Doda*, *SSP Kishtwar*, and other senior officers of CAPF and army.

A detailed review meeting was held to assess deployment for Yatra’s and anti-terrorist operations. The DGP lauded the efforts of civil and police administration in ensuring peaceful Yatra’s till now and emphasized intelligence grid strengthening, focused attention on successful conduct of operations and welfare of police personnel. Main thrust was on the elimination of the existing as well as new groups of terrorists who are hiding on the higher reaches of these districts as well as smashing the over ground structure of the ANEs.

A missing report of a lady namely Foziya W/O Mudassir Hussain R/O Kurmail Baggar Tehsil Assar , District Doda was entered at PS Assar on 21-06-2025 and now she has been traced and re-united with her family.

Official sources while giving details has said that Foziya W/O Mudassir Hussain R/O Kurmail Baggar Tehsil Assar , District Doda had gone missing and her missing report was entered at Police Station Assar on 21-06-2025.

Soon after registration of the missing report, search of the said lady was started. On the directions of *SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKP* S, a team was constituted from PS Assar led SHO PS Assar DySP (P) Wasim Shah under the supervision of Dy SP DAR Doda in search of missing lady. The Police team by using all possible means as well as technical help, succeeded in tracing her out today on 15-07-2025 from Bilal Abad Kishtwar . Accordingly, after completing all codal formalities, the lady has been handed over to her family and missing report has been closed.

*Kidnapped Girl Traced and Accused Arrested by Doda Police Within 15 Hours*

Doda, July 14, 2025:

In a major breakthrough, Doda Police successfully traced a kidnapped minor girl and apprehended the accused within 15 hours, showcasing swift action and a strong commitment to the safety and security of the public.

Following a written complaint regarding the kidnapping of a minor girl from Jammu, FIR No. 41/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Thathri. Acting swiftly on the directions of *SSP Doda Shri Sandeep Mehta (JKPS)*, a special team was constituted, led by SHO PS Thathri DySP (Prob.) Afeer Jalal Khan, under the close supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah.

Utilizing a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence, the police team successfully traced and rescued the kidnapped girl from Jammu within a short span of time. The accused, identified as Atul Bhagat, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Ward No. 3, Akhhal Kothey, Jammu, was also arrested from Jammu.

After completion of all medico-legal formalities, the recovered girl was safely handed over to her family.

The prompt and professional response of Doda Police in solving the case has drawn widespread appreciation from the public, further reinforcing trust in law enforcement.
