Nirmal Purja MBE - NIMSDAI 💔
Nirmal Purja (also known as Nimsdai Purja) was a world-renowned Nepalese mountaineer, former Gurkha, and former member of the UK Special Boat Service (SBS).

Some of his most notable achievements include:

* In 2019, he climbed all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks in just 6 months and 6 days, shattering the previous record.
* In 2021, he was part of—and helped lead—the first team to successfully summit K2 in winter, one of the greatest achievements in modern mountaineering.
* His remarkable journey was featured in the Netflix documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, which brought his accomplishments to a global audience.

Nirmal Purja died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan on August 1, 2026, along with several members of his expedition team. He was 43 years old.

Nirmal Purja is widely remembered for pushing the limits of high-altitude climbing, promoting Nepalese mountaineering, and inspiring people around the world with his motto: “Nothing is impossible”.
