A high-level coordination meeting, chaired by Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, DG & Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, was held today at the Salarjung Museum to review and finalize arrangements for the upcoming Muharram Bibi-ka-Alam procession, expected on July 6 or 7, 2025. The meeting was attended by Shia religious leaders, elected representatives, and senior officials from various government departments including GHMC, R&B, Electricity, Water Works, Medical & Health, Fire Services, Nehru Zoological Park, and the Telangana Waqf Board.
Key aspects such as security, traffic management, sanitation, public health, and elephant management were discussed in detail. The Commissioner directed all departments to coordinate closely to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the procession. Deployment of police forces, CCTV surveillance via TGICCC, traffic diversions, and SHE Teams were confirmed.
Officials were instructed to ensure adequate parking, barricading, and public convenience measures.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers, zonal DCPs, MLAs, MLCs, Waqf Board officials, and religious representatives.
