غم تو ہزاروں ہیں اس دل میں لیکن۔
اِک تیرا پوشیدہ ہونا چھپایا نہیں جاتا ۔

سامنے بیٹھے ہو آج بھی تم آنکھوں کے جیسے۔
پلکوں کا مگر ہم سے اٹھایا نہیں جاتا ۔

اختیار ، بروسہ ، وفاداری ، یہ جو الفاظ ہیں ،
ہم آج بھی لکھتے ہیں۔
زبان سے مگر اب ہم سے ادا نہیں ہو پاتا۔

یہ کہانی جو تم نے مختصر کر دی ہے ۔
ہم سے اسکا عنوان تک لکھا نہیں جاتا۔
