DRUG BUSTED AT RANGPO PS UNDER PAKYONG DISTRICT.

Acting upon a an information by a reliable source, today 15/04/2023 at around 0100 hrs one Buddha Tamang, aged 33 yrs R/O Deorali,Gangtok driver of SK01 T 1174 (Wagon-R) was intercepted at old Rangpo Checkpost while he was coming towards Gangtok Sikkim from Siliguri West Bengal side.

He was found in possession of:

1.425 Capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon capsules.

2. 200 tablets of N-10.

3.65 bottles of prohibited cough syrup and

4 Cash amounting to Rs 43 560/.

That the above substances were concealed inside his pocket and in his Vehicle .

Accordingly the above mentioned contraband substances were seized by PI Pradeep Chhetri of Rangpo PS in presence of Gazetted officer SDPO Rangpo Sub Division ASP L B Chettri.

The case under relevant section of SADA Act 2017 has been registered against alleged accused peson vide RPS Case No 24(04)2023 and the case is under investigation..

सिटिजन एक्सन पार्टी सिक्किम आज सिङ्ताममा भएको जोइन्ट एक्सन काउन्सिल (ज्याक)का महासचिव श्री केशव सापकोटामाथि भएको प्राण घातक हमलाको तीब्र निन्दा र घोर आपत्ति जनाउँदछ। सिक्किममा प्रजातन्त्र हराएको छ। ज्याक कुनै राजनैतिक पार्टी थिएन।ज्याकको नेतृत्वमा अन्यायमा परेका जनतालाई न्याय दिने कार्य भैरहेको थियो। ज्याकले सिक्किमको अस्तित्वमाथि संरक्षण गर्ने कार्य प्रजातान्त्रिक ढंगमा गरिरहेको बेला मध्ये दिउँसो बजारमा यस्तो गुण्डागर्दी र हत्या हिंसाको क्रियाकलाप गरिनु प्रजातन्त्रको निम्ति घातक हो। सिक्किममा सरकार पुर्ण रुपले विफल भएको हो।यहाँ कानुन ब्यबस्था पुर्णरूपमा छैन।सिक्किममा आतंककारी गतिविधि बढ्नु दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण हो।

श्री सापकोटाको ज्यानमाथि प्राण घातक हमला गर्ने ब्यक्तिहरुलाई प्रशासनले झट्ट पक्राउ गरेर आवश्यक कार्वाही गर्नुपर्छ औ भविस्यमा यस्ता घटना नदोहोर्‍याउन सिएपी सिक्किम अपील गर्दै घटनाको तीब्र निन्दा र विरोध गर्दछ।

Drugs Bursted at Rangpo .

On 05/04/2023 at around 2000hra duo namely Saran Kumar Biswakarma, aged 35 yrs and Salu Rai, aged 28 yrs both of them resident of Assam Linzay , Pakyong District were intercepted with Commercial quantity of Controlled Substance I e 6744 no of blue colour capsules in 843 strips at Rangpo Mamring road above Wai Wai factory after being chased from Attal Setu Bridge by Police Personnel of New Checkpost.

They were travelling in a private vehicle no SK01P4864 car from Siliguri, West Bengal side into Sikkim.
A case under SADA Ammendment Act 2017 has been registered and is under investigation.

“ SDF Party remains committed to revisit the historical and political events leading to the merger of 1975.”

Press Release :

The unfortunate dilution of our precious Sikkimese identity and the spirit of Article 371F, through the Supreme Court Judgement dated13th January,2023 followed by the Order passed in the Review Petition, and its subsequent affect through the undebated but passed by Parliament, the Finance Bill-2023 on 23rd March 2023, has spilled out into the open. In view of the above, it has now become imperative for the people of Sikkim to come together to vehemently oppose the lackadaisical approach and attitude of the SKM Government and in particular the Chief Minister, Law Minister and the legal luminaries acting on behalf of the State. The SDF Party has already demanded the Chief Minister’s resignation.
We the SDF Party welcome and support any form of democratic move or protest regarding any violation of the rule of law by the State and such sensitive issue concerning the overall interests, rights and identity of the Sikkim and its people. The recent appeal made by the Hamro Sikkim Party and the Joint Action Council on 6th and 8th April, 2023 respectively, who have decided to undertake such form of protest against the dilution of the Sikkimese identity and violation of Article 371F, the SDF Party appeals to all its members, well-wishers and peace loving people of Sikkim to come forward, participate and extend their support in a democratic and peaceful manner in the said events in the interest of Sikkim.
We request all right thinking Sikkimese to unite to fight this great people’s cause so that the SKM Government starts taking proactive action rather than showing excuses and diverting from the mistake which has been committed by the State Government till now as a result of the judgement of 13th January, 2023 and the reference of Clauses (iv) and (v) in Section 10 (26AAA) of the IT Act.
The SDF Party remains committed to revisit the historical and political events leading to the merger of 1975.
