Guraas celebrates World Photography Day, 2025 by commending the passion and beautiful work of Srijana Shrestha who describes herself as a “wanderer” looking for images to fit into frames.

“Photography keeps me grounded. It reminds me to pay attention.”

Image caption: It was my first time seeing the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi. I’d heard a lot about it, but nothing really prepares you for the kind of energy that place holds. Something between chaos and peace, between sound and silence.

And then this moment happened. Honestly, it felt like something more than just timing — like the petals were a quiet blessing, a piece of that divine energy caught in a single frame.
