Hon'ble Area MLA Holds Meetings on Development and Farmers' Welfare

Gangtok, June 23: Hon'ble Area MLA of Tumin-Lingee Constituency, Samdup Tshering Bhutia, today held a series of important meetings aimed at addressing developmental issues and strengthening support for the farming community.
During the day, the Hon'ble MLA met with Sonam Lama and engaged in an interactive discussion on various matters concerning public welfare and developmental initiatives. The meeting focused on issues of mutual interest and ways to further enhance the delivery of government services for the benefit of the people.
Later, the Hon'ble MLA also met Pradeep Bhandari at his office in Deorali. The meeting centered on various farmer-centric and benefit-oriented programmes being implemented by the Agriculture and Horticulture Department.
Discussions were held on promoting progressive farming practices, enhancing farmers' access to government schemes, and exploring opportunities to improve agricultural productivity and livelihoods. The Hon'ble MLA emphasized the importance of ensuring that welfare programmes effectively reach deserving farmers and contribute to the overall development of the rural economy.
The meetings reflect the continued commitment of the Hon'ble MLA towards addressing public concerns and working closely with various departments and stakeholders for the welfare and progress of the constituency.

Today, a review meeting was called by DC Gangtok at his chamber to discuss on the Makha Dickchu road strategies. The meeting was attended by OC, BRO, Sivalik Company, PWD engineers and SDM Rabdang. Hon'ble Zilla Adhakshya Gangtok, OSD to MLA, CLC President, CLC executives were also present in the meeting. The delay in the work progress and not opening the road for vehicles within the time frame, was raised and questioned for explanation from the BRO and Siwalik Company. As reported, the 19th Km stretch, at Rangchang Bir, could not be cleared due to continuous rainfall and slush including falling of boulders, disrupting in the work progress. The authority took serious note of the matter and warned the road developers to open the road at the earliest, looking into the difficulties faced by the commuters, general public, Army and all concern. Day to day monitoring in the work progress will follow and directed the contractor and the BRO to work in close coordination to open up the road for all vehicles at the earliest.

डिक्चु–सिङ्ताम सडक निर्माण सम्बन्धी समन्वय तथा छलफल सभा सम्पन्न

आज तुमिन लिङ्गी अन्तर्गत–बरङस्थित शिवालिक कम्पनीको कार्यालयमा डिक्चु–सिङ्ताम सडक निर्माण कार्यसँग सम्बन्धित महत्वपूर्ण समन्वय तथा छलफल सभा सम्पन्न भयो।

सभामा माननीय क्षेत्र विधायक Samdup Bhutia ज्यू गान्तोक जिल्लाका जिल्ला अध्यक्ष Balaram Adhikari, Adhakshya Gangtok ज्यू, एसडीएम राब्दाङ, रक्दोङ–तिन्टेक बीडीओ, बीआरओ, शिवालिक कम्पनीका प्रतिनिधिहरू, विभिन्न पंचायतका जनप्रतिनिधिहरू, विभिन्न राजनीतिक दलका पदाधिकारीहरू तथा स्थानीय नागरिकहरूको उल्लेखनीय सहभागिता रहेको थियो।

बैठकमा सडक निर्माणको वर्तमान अवस्था, जनताले भोगिरहेका समस्या, सुरक्षा सम्बन्धी विषयहरू तथा निर्माण कार्यलाई थप प्रभावकारी र द्रुत गतिमा अगाडि बढाउने उपायहरूबारे विस्तृत छलफल गरियो।

विशेष गरी, जुन ७ देखि २१ सम्म सडक बन्द गरिए पनि अपेक्षित प्रगति हुन नसकेको, केही क्षेत्रमा काम अझै बाँकी रहेको तथा रंगचाङ स्ट्रेचमा आवश्यक कार्य तत्काल अघि बढाउनुपर्ने विषयमा सरोकारवालाहरूले गम्भीर चासो व्यक्त गरेका छन्। निर्माण कार्यलाई अझ सुदृढ, व्यवस्थित र समयमै सम्पन्न गर्न सम्बन्धित निकायहरूलाई आवश्यक सुझाव तथा आग्रह पनि प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ।

बैठकपश्चात् विभिन्न प्रभावित स्थानहरूको स्थलगत निरीक्षण गरी वास्तविक अवस्थाको अवलोकन समेत गरिएको छ।

यस महत्वपूर्ण छलफलमा सहभागी भई आफ्ना अमूल्य सुझाव, गुनासा र विचारहरू राख्नुहुने सम्पूर्ण जनप्रतिनिधि, सरकारी अधिकारी, राजनीतिक दलका पदाधिकारी तथा आम नागरिकप्रति हार्दिक धन्यवाद व्यक्त गर्दछौं।
