Miss Chhena Maya Bhujel Clears UGC-NET June 2026

Saturday, 29th August: Miss Chhena Maya Bhujel has successfully cleared the UGC-NET June 2026, bringing pride and joy to her family, community and the people of Soreng district.

Miss Bhujel is the daughter of Mr Chabi Lall Bhujel and Mrs Son Moti Bhujel, and is a resident of Salangdang, Sombaria, under Soreng district, Sikkim.

She completed her schooling at Sombaria Senior Secondary School, pursued her graduation from Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College, and completed her postgraduate studies at Khangchendzonga State University (KSU).

Her successful qualification in the UGC-NET is a significant academic achievement and reflects her dedication, hard work and commitment to higher education.

Renuka Basnett Chettri brings pride to Sikkim by qualifying for both the UGC-NET and the North East SLET.

Renuka Basnett Chettri, daughter of Shri Birkha Bahadur Chettri from Yuksom, West Sikkim, has achieved a remarkable milestone by clearing the national-level UGC-NET examination with an impressive percentile. Adding to her academic success, she also recently qualified for the North East State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
Her educational journey reflects a steadfast commitment to academic excellence:
1. She completed her schooling at Yuksom Secondary School (Class X) and Pelling Senior Secondary School (Class XII).
2. She went on to pursue her undergraduate studies at Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College in Tadong.
3. She earned both her Master’s and M.Phil. degrees from Sikkim Central University.

Currently, Renuka is continuing her advanced research journey as a Ph.D. scholar at Sikkim Central University. Her dual success in clearing these highly competitive examinations stands as a testament to her hard work, dedication, and perseverance, serving as an inspiration for the entire community.

IHM Gangtok Student Wins Prestigious FHRAI Excellence Award 2026
