Chief Minister Chairs Cabinet Conference Ahead of Budget Session 2026–27
Gangtok, July 20: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang convened a conference with his Cabinet colleagues ahead of the Budget Session 2026–27 to review the government's key priorities and deliberate on important policy matters.
During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed various developmental and governance-related issues, with a strong focus on ensuring that the upcoming Budget reflects the aspirations, needs, and expectations of the people of Sikkim.
The conference underscored the government's collective resolve and coordinated approach towards policy planning and implementation. It also reaffirmed the administration's commitment to transparent governance, inclusive development, and prudent fiscal management.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang emphasized that the government remains dedicated to presenting a forward-looking Budget aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth, strengthening public welfare initiatives, and accelerating the overall progress and prosperity of the state.
The Budget Session 2026–27 is expected to outline the government's development agenda and financial roadmap for the coming fiscal year, with emphasis on people-centric policies and long-term growth.
