Security Agencies Demolish Pulwama Home After DNA Links Doctor to Delhi Blast

A residential structure in Pulwama connected to the man identified as the driver in the recent Delhi car explosion has been torn down by security personnel. The action targeted the property of Umar Mohammad, also known as Umar un-Nabi, whose remains were identified through DNA sampling after the blast near Red Fort that killed 13 people and injured more than 20.

Officials say the demolition is part of a broader strategy aimed at discouraging networks that enable militant activity. Similar measures were carried out earlier in cases tied to an attempted attack in Pahalgam.

The explosion near Netaji Subhash Marg occurred shortly after two individuals — Muzammil and Shaheen Saeed — were detained in Faridabad, where nearly 2,900 kg of explosive material and a cache of weapons were found. Investigators believe the arrests may have pushed Umar to act in haste, derailing what they suspect was a larger planned strike. Both detained doctors are currently being questioned about the stockpile and the group’s operations.

The case has also drawn attention to the involvement of highly qualified professionals in militant modules reportedly linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

Drone Follows Attacker After Groom Stabbed at Amravati Wedding

A wedding celebration in Maharashtra’s Amravati descended into confusion and fear after a sudden knife attack left the groom injured. The unexpected twist came when the videographer, instead of abandoning his post, used his drone to follow the man suspected of carrying out the assault.

The incident took place on Monday evening during the ceremony, when a man approached the stage and allegedly stabbed the groom multiple times. Guests panicked as the attacker ran from the venue. In a quick response, the videographer redirected his drone toward the fleeing suspect, capturing clear visuals as the man ran outside and joined another person on a motorcycle.

The drone footage tracked the pair for nearly two kilometres before they disappeared from sight. Police have since taken possession of the video, which they say will be crucial in tracing the attackers and understanding their route.

Preliminary inquiries suggest the violence may have been linked to a minor argument earlier during a dance segment of the event. The groom was rushed to RIMS Hospital, where doctors confirmed he is out of danger after receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Police continue their search for both individuals captured in the drone footage.

NIA Traces 32-Vehicle Bomb Plan After Deadly Delhi Blast

A major terror network has come to light following the powerful explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort earlier this week. Investigators have traced links suggesting that the accused were planning a series of coordinated blasts using around 32 vehicles rigged with explosives across multiple cities.

The explosion, which ripped through the area near Lal Quila Metro Station at around 6:50 PM on Monday, claimed ten lives and left more than twenty people injured. Several cars caught fire in what is considered one of the most tightly secured zones of the capital. Multiple central agencies, including the NIA and the Forensic Science Laboratory, have been deployed to investigate what authorities are now officially calling a terror attack.

Investigators have recovered various types of explosive material and live cartridges from the site. According to officials, preliminary findings indicate that the main suspect, Dr Umar Nabi, may have triggered the blast accidentally while moving explosive material in an i20 vehicle. It is suspected that he panicked after a connected terror cell was dismantled in Faridabad last week.

Forensic teams have confirmed through DNA analysis that the remains found in the car matched samples from Nabi’s mother, confirming his presence at the scene.

The NIA has now taken over the case, and security agencies are examining potential links between this incident and a larger network spanning multiple states. The government has reaffirmed its commitment to countering terrorism in all forms.

Shoe-Throwing Incident at Supreme Court Sparks Debate on Dissent and Decorum

A dramatic moment unfolded inside India’s highest court on Monday when a lawyer attempted to hurl his shoe at Chief Justice BR Gavai during proceedings in Court No. 1. The assailant, identified as 72-year-old advocate Rakesh Kishore, was immediately restrained and handed over to Delhi Police. Despite the gravity of the act, he was later released as the Supreme Court registry chose not to pursue charges.

Police sources said Kishore showed no remorse during questioning, asserting that he was driven by anguish over a recent Supreme Court order related to the Javari Temple in Khajuraho. The CJI-led bench had declined to intervene in a plea seeking the reconstruction of an idol, noting that the matter fell under the purview of the Archaeological Survey of India. Kishore reportedly said he “lost peace” after the ruling and believed the court had disrespected his faith.

Witnesses said the lawyer shouted slogans referencing “Sanatan” values while being escorted out. According to SCBA joint secretary Meenesh Dubey, who met him shortly after, Kishore appeared defiant and “showed no guilt.”

Kishore also expressed discontent with a recent speech by the Chief Justice in Mauritius, where he had emphasized that India’s justice system operates under the rule of law, not the “rule of bulldozer.”

Officials confirmed that Kishore held valid credentials allowing him entry into the court complex, including a Bar Council of India card and a temporary SCBA membership. Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: Two-Phase Polls on November 6 and 11, Results on November 14

The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Voting across the state will take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, while the counting of votes is slated for November 14, 2025.

The current Assembly’s tenure concludes on November 22, prompting the need for elections within the constitutional timeline. Political parties had earlier urged the poll panel to hold the elections soon after the Chhath festival, citing the return of large numbers of migrant workers to their hometowns during the festive period.

The Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar along with Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, reviewed law and order, logistics, and election preparedness in a series of meetings held in Patna over the weekend. The Commission emphasized ensuring free, fair, and inducement-free elections.

While announcing the schedule, the EC addressed appeals from political parties for a single-phase election. JD(U) leader Sanjay Kumar Jha reiterated that Bihar was capable of handling a one-phase poll, citing the absence of major security challenges or Naxal-related issues.

Both major alliances—the NDA and the INDIA bloc—are expected to finalize and announce their seat-sharing arrangements later this week. Tejashwi Yadav indicated that discussions within the INDIA alliance have reached the final stage.

In the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP had secured 74 seats, while JD(U) won 43. The Mahagathbandhan comprising RJD, Congress, and Left parties collectively managed 110 seats, with RJD bagging 75, Congress 19, and the Left 16.
