Devotart Creates History as First-Ever Golden Buzzer Winner From Sikkim on India’s Got Talent

In a landmark moment of pride for Sikkim, the dance group Devotart has become the first-ever Golden Buzzer winner from the state on the national stage of India’s Got Talent. Massive Protests in Nepal Over Social Media Ban

On September 4, 2025, the Nepal government banned 26 social media platforms including Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, and WhatsApp, citing violation of rules for not setting up local registration and liaison offices.

The ban triggered anger among Gen Z youth and students, who gathered outside the Parliament in Kathmandu chanting:
“Shut down corruption, not social media”
“Youths against corruption”

Clashes erupted as police used tear gas, rubber bullets, batons, and water cannons; the army was also deployed.

Reuters: Thousands joined, curfew imposed till 10 PM.

AP News: At least 17 dead, 145 injured.

Al Jazeera: At least 14 killed.

The Guardian: At least 19 killed, mostly in Kathmandu and Itahari.

Overall, fatalities are estimated between 14–19, with over 100 injured.

Rights group Amnesty International condemned the excessive and lethal force by law enforcement, urging authorities to exercise maximum restraint.

चुलीबन में बारिश के कारण पहाड़ी से गिरा बोल्डर, सवारी गाड़ी से टकराया – बड़ा हादसा टला

सिक्किम की दीकचू-सिंगतम सड़क पर चुलीबन के पास मंगलवार को भारी बारिश के चलते एक बड़ा बोल्डर अचानक पहाड़ से टूटकर नीचे गिर गया और एक सवारी गाड़ी से जा टकराया।
खुशकिस्मती से इस हादसे में कोई जानमाल की हानि नहीं हुई।
स्थानीय लोगों की तत्परता से सभी यात्रियों को समय रहते सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया गया।

प्रशासन और पुलिस ने क्षेत्र में एहतियात बढ़ा दी है।
स्थानीय नागरिकों और पर्यटकों से अनुरोध है कि मौसम विभाग की चेतावनियों का पालन करें और अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचें।
