Monetary Policy..!!

I was talking to one of my tenants. He was a bit disappointed with himself as he was unable to clear his 1st Campus Interview(BTW, he'll get a few more chances from his institute).

He really wanted to shoulder the financial burden of his Father as he had taken a few loans(viz. home, car and education).

Together, we discussed a few concepts regarding Finance and Investments which are not really a part of his college curriculum but a crucial part of Life.

I made a video regarding this Topic, it'll be helpful for everyone, especially to those who are a Novice when it comes to investments.

Cultivating Courage: A Life Changing Journey..💥

Past Story: For long, I've been pondering whether or not to enroll for a course which I knew will going to uplift my Career and Life, but somehow I don't have the courage to go for it.

(perhaps) For the following Reasons:

1. I was not in the right environment which affected my state of mind. Although, I knew at the back of my Mind that it's the need of the hour.
2. I doubted my own Abilities and Capabilities.
3. I don't want to step-out of my Comfort Zone.
4. Because I was Ruminating and Overthinking (a lot).

Present Story: Once I enrolled myself for this course, I started experience a (+ve) change in my Life.

(perhaps) For the following Reasons:

1. I decided that I'm responsible for my Life and Future. The morning session and others factors too play a crucial role in it.
2. I developed my action muscle which helped me in stepping-out of my Comfort Zone.
3. I consciously change my Association(both Personal and Professional).
4. It helps me in broadening my Horizon and Perspective.
5. Because I had taken this initiative of upskilling myself; I start attracting (more)like-minded People in my Life.

Remember: You are responsible for your Life, Family and your Future. Watch-out your association/(work) environment as it is stronger than your Will-Power, it may make/break You.

So, Beware and Be Aware..💡

Face your Problem(s) head-on, only then are you able to overcome it - My biggest takeaway from this action of Mine..👈🏽

Various Taxes..!!

In this short article I'll discuss the taxes that are levied on Mutual Funds.

Here, I'm specifically referring to Equity Mutual Funds.

These Taxes are broadly classified as:

1. Short Term Capital Gains Tax(STCG): Under section 111A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is the provision for taxation of STCG at a rate of 15%(plus applicable cess and surcharge) on the sale of: Equity Shares or Equity Mutual Funds. Listed on a recognized stock exchange in India.

2. Long Term Capital Gains Tax(LTCG): Under section 112A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 relates to the sale of listed equity shares, and equity-oriented Mutual Funds, and taxes long-term capital gains over Rs.1 lakh at 10%(plus applicable cess and surcharge).

For e.g. - If you have a capital gain of 1,10,000(in a financial year).

Your tax liability will be: 10%(plus applicable cess & surcharge) of 10,000.

However, there's STT or Security Transaction Tax too.

Note: When it comes to Mutual Funds only equity printed funds attract an STT payment. If you want to invest in the Stock Market(directly)/Equity Mutual Funds, keep STT in mind.

The rate for buying or selling Equity-Oriented Mutual Funds is 0.001%.

Why Mutual Funds..??

I was talking to one of my friends(Yesterday) and all of a sudden he asked a Question(in a rather Sarcastic way) - Why do you compel people to invest in MFs?

As we are friends and it's my moral duty as a Friend to guide him and others too, especially those who like to splurge their (Hard-earned) money(mindlessly)..??

I made a video regarding the advice which I gave to him because I thought that this can be beneficial for a lot of people, especially those who are a Novice when it comes to investment in Mutual Funds.

Alpha (α); Beta (β) Of Life..!!

Lately, I've seen a lot of people laid-off from their jobs by their respective Employers, some of my Friends too lost their jobs(in IT, Non-IT, Sales, etc).

I really feel sorry for them(I was also there once), every day I see a new post regarding job loss across various social media platform(s), especially LinkedIn.

In this short article I've shared two concepts: Alpha (α) & Beta (β) from a different standpoint.

Alpha (α) = Absolute Growth/Risk Adjusted returns/Excess Returns(if a MF beats it's Benchmark)

Beta (β) = It involves Risk/Risky/Dicey

We all know that everything involves risks. If someone starts their career; if someone starts a new business it involves risk too.

However, before starting a business if someone gains relevant experience and skills then that can obviously help him/her a lot.

In fact, they can even take the help of Mentors/Trainers who coach/guide People in achieving their Goals/Business Objectives.

Keep your EGO aside and upskill yourself, this is the only way to succeed during these turbulent times.

Also, try to connect with people from your Domain/Industry on LinkedIn/other Platforms.

Engage on their Posts/Articles/Blogs meaningfully and mindfully share your Perspective/add Value/reshare their Posts/Articles/Blogs on your timeline, this'll help you to build a lasting relationship with Like-minded and Right-minded People(online).

Once you focus on building your Circle Of influence it'll help you to get some "Gigs" which can help you to deal with these challenging times(effectively).

If you can increase your income source(s), it'll help you to reduce your Beta(aka Risk) and increase your Alpha(aka Growth).

Besides, it's my moral duty if these two concepts can help someone during these testing times.

Misconception about Investments..!!

Thanks again to our school reunion & this digital age, I'm able to talk to/meet a lot of interesting characters, but somehow I think it's not their fault(at times) because the majority of people follow others(viz. their super successful friends, filthy rich relatives/neighbours, etc.) blindly, your association matters a lot.

If you are in the company of successful people, you'll become one.

If you are in the company of limited minded people(those who judge others Quite Often), you'll soon become one of them.

If you are associated with disciplined & receptive people, it'll rub-off on you as well.

Changes are quite painful as it challenges the existing state of affairs(which at times are difficult to change. Although, it's all in our mind). If we are determined and decide to change our Life(no matter what) then trust me, no one can stop us to elevate ourselves..

A small difference in our day-to-day schedule can help us to make a meaningful shift in our Life. In fact, not only in our Life but others too. Every successful person(Irrespective of Gender, Ofc) has a pre-planned schedule(with some flexibility, Ofc) and preaches what they practice (Day In, Day Out). They give due importance to not only their time but others as well..
