Some encounters leave behind more than memories; they carve themselves into the soul. This leopardess was my first big cat sighting at Mudumalai, and from that moment, the forest felt different, more alive, more personal.
I met her not once, but again and again across consecutive safaris. Her calm presence, piercing gaze, and graceful stride pulled me deeper into the magic of the wild. On my final safari, as if by design, there she was again, resting and watching, a silent goodbye.
A circle closed.
A connection made.
Some bonds with the wild feel like love at first sight, again and again.
