"73rd FOUNDATION DAY OF CHHATRA PARISHAD"

Continuing the glorious legacy of 72 years of struggle, service and student leadership, the West Bengal Pradesh Chhatra Parishad is organising a grand Student Convention on the occasion of its 73rd Foundation Day.

📍 Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata
📅 28th August 2026 (Friday)

The programme will bring together present and former leaders of Chhatra Parishad, along with senior leaders of the Indian National Congress.
Let us come together, strengthen our organisation, and carry forward the legacy of the student movement.

On this auspicious day, Purba Medinipur 1 District Congress Chhatra Parishad pays heartfelt tribute to the great freedom fighters of our nation Mahatma Gandhi ji, Jawaharlal Nehru ji, Bhagat Singh ji, Ashfaqulla Khan ji, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ji, and the pride of Bengal, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose ji, along with countless others who fought against the evils of colonial rule for a better and stronger India.

From the day of Independence until today, we Indians have been part of a secular and democratic nation where every citizen is equal. However, some forces continue to promote the same politics of divide and rule to hold on to power.

I sincerely appeal to the people of India to stand together, rise above divisions, and help us build the India that our freedom fighters dreamed of and sacrificed their lives for an India based on unity, equality, justice, secularism, and democracy.

On the occasion of 21st July Shaheed Divas, a massive State Convention was organized at Shaheed Minar under the leadership of our State President, Shri Subhankar Sarkar ji, in the presence of several esteemed leaders and state office bearers.

Following the convention, a march to Shaheed Minar was led by Dt Priyanka Choudhury ji, State President, West Bengal Chhatra Parishad, with the participation of Chhatra Parishad state office bearers, district presidents, and dedicated members from different districts across West Bengal, who came together to pay heartfelt tribute to the martyrs and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of democracy and justice.

On National Doctors' Day, we pay our heartfelt tribute to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy and salute every doctor for their dedication, compassion, and service to humanity.

Yet, this day also reminds us of the deep concern surrounding the NEET paper leak. The dreams of aspiring doctors should never be sacrificed to corruption or negligence. Those who work tirelessly for a better future deserve a fair & transparent system, not uncertainty.

The future of India's doctors must be protected.
