Army life taught me to constantly shift perspective.
Civilian life demanded it.

Whether it was trading my uniform for a suit, or learning law in my 40s, I’ve realised:
Growth rarely looks like certainty.
It looks like curiosity.
Like asking: “What am I missing?”

👉 The real danger isn’t having a flawed view.
It’s refusing to change it.

During my military days, I worked with a senior officer on a major presentation and we failed.
The room was flat. The message didn’t sink in.

Instead of brushing it off, he paused, reflected, and said:
“Let’s break this down. Learn. Then go again.”

So we did. We revised structure, delivery, tone. Then we ran it again.
Same content. New audience. This time? It landed. With clarity. With impact.

From that moment I internalized a rule I now teach every client:

"Failure + Reflection + Another Rep = Competence."

In the military, debriefs are sacred. You learn, then you iterate.
In corporate life? That mindset is just as critical.

If you’re in a moment of struggle—pause. Reflect. Then show up again.
The real power lives between the reps.

Every time I pick up my camera, it teaches me something deeper than just taking a picture.

Perspective. Patience. Presence.

A good photograph isn’t about changing the subject, it’s about finding a better angle.
And that’s true for life, leadership, and learning too.

As a coach and trainer, I’ve realised transformation doesn’t happen when we rush.
It happens when we observe, wait, and see differently.

The lens doesn’t lie it only reflects what we choose to focus on.

📚 Why I chose to pursue an LLB in my 30s...

Not for a career switch.
But as a promise to myself.

✨ A promise to stay a student for life.
✨ A commitment to structured growth even when you're expected to have “figured it out.”

As a leadership and life coach, my job is to guide people through transformation.
But that only works if I'm walking that path too.

So I enrolled in law school.
Mid-life. Mid-career.
