Aatif Qayoom Elected President, Aadil Akbar General Secretary, Syed Imtiyaz Vice President of Handwara Media Association

Handwara, Sept 6:
The Handwara Media Association on Saturday held its body elections, resulting in the election of new office bearers.

Aatif Qayoom was elected as President, securing 15 votes against his rival Syed Kabeer Geelani, who polled 12 votes.

For the post of General Secretary, Aadil Akbar was declared elected unopposed after the nomination of his opponent was rejected on technical grounds.

Meanwhile, Syed Imtiyaz was elected as Vice President of the Association, securing 15 votes. His rival, Shameem Bhat, correspondent of Gulistaan TV, received 12 votes.

The election proceedings were witnessed by Tehsildar Langate Mohammad Ismail and SHO Qalamabad Mohammad Ashraf, along with several other dignitaries.
