Advocate Banday formally took charge of his new role today at the Asif Memorial Vocational Training Institute of Allied Sciences (AMVTIAS), Kulangam Campus, the flagship institution under AMRL Ventures’ Education Wing. The charge-taking ceremony was conducted in the presence of the company’s management, AMVTIAS faculty, students, and prominent local dignitaries.
In his capacity as CEO – Education Wing, Advocate Banday will spearhead the strategic planning, academic governance, and operational growth of AMRL Ventures’ educational initiatives across the region. His portfolio includes oversight of the rapidly expanding paramedical, allied health sciences, and computer science departments at the Kulangam Campus, along with the rollout of new skill-development and job-oriented programs aligned with industry demand.
Advocate Majid Ahmed Banday is a respected legal professional and social advocate with extensive experience in administration, policy advocacy, and community engagement in Jammu & Kashmir. His background in institutional management and youth outreach is expected to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world employability, a core objective of AMRL Ventures’ Education Wing.
Addressing the gathering after taking charge, Advocate Banday outlined his immediate priorities: “The vision of AMRL Ventures is to transform vocational education into a pathway for dignified livelihoods. At our Kulangam Campus, we will focus on three pillars — academic rigor, hands-on clinical and technical training, and ethical grounding. Every student who walks through our doors should leave not just with a certificate, but with the confidence and competence to serve in the healthcare and technology sectors across J&K and beyond.”
He further emphasized strengthening industry linkages, introducing modern labs, upgrading curriculum in consultation with sector experts, and launching community health initiatives that allow students to learn while serving the region.
The management of AMRL Ventures Private Limited welcomed the appointment, noting that the Education Wing is a key vertical in the company’s mission to build sustainable social infrastructure. “Advocate Banday’s leadership combines legal acumen, administrative clarity, and deep community connect. Under his stewardship as CEO, we are confident that AMVTIAS, Kulangam Campus, will set new benchmarks in vocational and allied health education,” said a senior company spokesperson.
Faculty members and students at the campus expressed optimism that the new leadership will accelerate accreditation processes, expand placement networks, and bring structured mentorship programs to the institute.
Established as part of AMRL Ventures Private Limited’s commitment to skill development, the Education Wing operates with the mandate to deliver affordable, high-quality, and employment-linked training to the youth of North Kashmir. The Kulangam Campus currently offers diploma and certificate programs in paramedical sciences, medical lab technology, computer applications, and other allied disciplines, with plans underway for new courses in emergency care, physiotherapy, and IT-enabled services.
