JKNC Handwara strongly condemns the abusive, ill-mannered and disgraceful language used by leaders of the People’s Conference against the sitting Deputy Chief Minister. Such gutter-level politics and personal attacks have no place in democratic politics and only expose the frustration, insecurity and political bankruptcy of those indulging in them.
The language being used reflects neither political maturity nor public responsibility. It only reveals the character, desperation and mindset of individuals who have lost public relevance and public trust. A person claiming to be the chairman of a political party should maintain basic decency in public discourse instead of behaving in a manner completely unfit for civilized politics.
The people of Jammu & Kashmir know very well who compromised the identity, dignity and interests of this state for the sake of power. Those who sat in the lap of the BJP to secure ministerial positions and political survival have absolutely no moral authority to lecture others today. The present political reality of Jammu & Kashmir is the direct consequence of the opportunistic decisions and alliances made by people like you.
For the sake of power and position, you compromised the dignity, special status and Article 370 of our state. First look back at your own political journey and the damage your politics has caused to this land.
It was because of the politics promoted and encouraged by people like you that the graveyards of Kashmir were filled with the bodies of young men. From associations with groups like Al-Barq to changing loyalties whenever it suited your ambitions, your history is known to everyone. Even today, countless mothers wander with tears in their eyes, searching for the graves of their beloved sons. The sons who were pushed towards violence, handed guns and sacrificed in a conflict while l
People like you secured power and political survival for yourselves. The pain of those families still lives in every corner of Kashmir.
During the Parliamentary elections, every possible misuse of influence, administrative support, money and political pressure was attempted, yet the people decisively rejected your politics. Despite all the machinery and resources at your disposal, the public showed you your actual political standing.
Your father handed this party over to you on a platter . Your politics is an inheritance, not an achievement earned through struggle.
On the other hand, Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan is a self-made leader. He did not inherit politics as a family legacy. Through his hard work, the love of the people and the blessings of Almighty Allah, he has reached the highest democratic forum of the country, where his voice is heard across the nation. And while leaders like him work for the people with dignity and commitment, you remain busy with media theatrics, abusive language and attention-seeking politics.
Everyone knows who is truly hungry for power. You were the same person who once went to PAGD, humbled yourself before Dr. Farooq Abdullah sb and sought forgiveness for your past actions . You begged for political acceptance, apologised for your past mistakes and sought shelter when it suited your ambitions.
But the moment you secured DDC seats and political benefits, you betrayed the very alliance and the very people. Have some shame. Those who dance to the signals of Delhi and change their stand whenever power demands it have no right to lecture others.
And then there is your associate, whose culture and family legacy of arrogance are well known to the people. Those who until yesterday were running the so-called “Jaggerpora Express” still carry the same street-level mentality and uncivilized conduct. The filthy and disgraceful language he used against a sitting Deputy Chief Minister only exposes his upbringing, character and complete lack of political maturity.
His frustration stems from the fact that the unchecked loot, exploitation and misuse of local resources once enjoyed by him and his close circle is now being challenged. The era of treating public resources as personal property is slowly coming to an end, and that reality has clearly unsettled him.
And what moral authority does he even have to lecture others. This is the same person who once desperately sought entry into the National Conference, running to Delhi to arrange meetings and pleading before Omar Abdullah sb for political accommodation. He bent over backwards for acceptance when it suited his ambitions.
And then you used agencies and intimidation tactics to pressure him into remaining where he was, silencing him through fear and coercion. And today, after all that, he dares to lecture others on morality and principles. Shame on such hypocrisy.
We ask him a simple question.what exactly do you represent today. The people have rejected you outright. There is no credibility, no public trust and no moral authority left to claim.
If you truly cared for the people, you would have welcomed development instead of opposing it with bitterness and frustration.
