Kerala Assembly Onam Celebration Turns Tragic – Staff Collapses & Dies on Stage

In a shocking incident, a staff member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly collapsed and died while performing on stage during the Onam celebrations held at the Assembly premises in Thiruvananthapuram.

The deceased has been identified as V. Junaiz (46), Assistant Librarian, a native of Bathery in Wayanad. The tragic moment of him collapsing while dancing has surfaced online, leaving many in shock.

உயிரிழந்தவர் வயநாட்டின் பத்தேரியைச் சேர்ந்த துணை நூலகர் வி.ஜூனைஸ் (46) எனத் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. நடனத்தின் போது அவர் மயங்கி விழுந்த வீடியோ இணையத்தில் பரவியதால் பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

🚨 Hogenakkal Tragedy
A 30-year-old IT employee from Andhra Pradesh, J Jyothi Krishnaganth, drowned in the Cauvery River near Hogenakkal on Sunday.

🔸 He and colleagues entered a restricted zone despite multiple warning boards.
🔸 Strong currents swept him away; his body was later recovered by Fire & Rescue teams.
🔸 Tourism and coracle rides had already been banned due to heavy inflows (28,000 cusecs).

⚠️ Authorities urge tourists to strictly follow safety restrictions.

India’s First Made-in-Bharat Chip ‘Vikram-32’ Unveiled at Semicon India 2025 🚀💻
இந்தியாவின் முதல் தாய்மண் சிப் – ‘விக்ரம்-32’ Semicon India 2025ல் வெளியீடு 🚀💻

India has officially entered the semiconductor era! At Semicon India 2025, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the country’s first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor, the Vikram-32, presenting it to PM Narendra Modi.

Developed by ISRO’s Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) in collaboration with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), this chip is flight-validated on PSLV-C60 and is space-ready. It will power defense, automotive, energy, and communication sectors.

Backed by the India Semiconductor Mission, investments worth ₹1.6 lakh crore are already fueling 10 projects, 5 fabs, and 23+ design startups across the nation.

PM Modi called semiconductors the “digital diamonds of the 21st century”, marking this as a turning point for India’s tech self-reliance.

🚫 Liquor Shops to Remain Closed in Krishnagiri on September 05
🚫 கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டத்தில் செப்டம்பர் 05 அன்று மதுபானக் கடைகள் மூடப்படும்

On account of Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (Milad-un-Nabi), all TASMAC liquor shops, bars and outlets with FL2, FL3, FL3A, FLAA licenses in Krishnagiri District will remain closed on 05.09.2025, announced District Collector Mr. S. Dinesh Kumar IAS.

📌 The closure will be in effect from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight. Sale and transport of liquor and beer are strictly prohibited. Violators will face stringent action under Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Rules 2003.

⚙️ Two Workers Crushed to Death as Machine Part Falls in Hosur Factory
⚙️ ஓசூர் தொழிற்சாலையில் இயந்திர பாகம் விழுந்து 2 தொழிலாளர்கள் பலி

A tragic incident occurred on Monday evening at a private factory located in Belagondapalli near Hosur, Krishnagiri district.

🔹 Around 6:45 PM, workers Kalimuthu (37, from Muniswarnagar, Hosur) and Pramod Kumar (26, from Bihar) were on duty.
🔹 A heavy machine part/iron plate weighing between 500 kg to 1 ton accidentally slipped and fell on them.
🔹 Both workers were crushed to death on the spot.

Police from Mathigiri station recovered the bodies and registered a case.

👥 Hosur Municipal Public Health Committee Chairman & 22nd Ward Councillor Matheswaran visited Kalimuthu’s family and offered condolences.

🔹 அப்போது சுமார் 500 கிலோ முதல் ஒரு டன் எடையுள்ள இயந்திர பாகம்/இரும்புத் தகடு திடீரென கழன்று மேலிருந்து விழுந்தது.
🔹 உடல் நசுங்கியதால், இருவரும் சம்பவ இடத்திலேயே உயிரிழந்தனர்.

உடனடியாக தகவல் அறிந்து வந்த மத்திகிரி போலீசார் உடல்களை மீட்டு வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

👥 ஓசூர் மாநகராட்சி பொதுசுகாதார குழுத் தலைவர் மற்றும் 22வது வார்டு கவுன்சிலர் மாதேஸ்வரன், உயிரிழந்த காளிமுத்துவின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு நேரில் சென்று ஆறுதல் தெரிவித்தார்.

In Krishnagiri district, Hosur Mayor S.A. Sathya conducted a surprise inspection at RV Government Boys Higher Secondary School under Hosur Municipality.
