In commemoration of the *National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas),a solemn and vibrant function at * JKAP13TH BN HUMHAMA was observed.

On this occasion, *W/DySP Nargis Kirmani* administered the *Unity Pledge* to all officers and jawans, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of national integration, unity, and integrity.

While addressing the gathering, *Dysp Nargis Kirmani highlighted the significance of *Rashtriya Ekta Diwas,* observing that the day is celebrated across the nation to honor the legacy of *Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,* the Iron Man of India. He emphasized that every citizen, particularly members of the police force, must rededicate themselves to safeguarding the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation.

The Senior police officers and other officials were also present on the said occasion.

Sopore Police Inaugurate Volleyball Tournament to Commemorate Police Commemoration Day.

Sopore, October 21, 2025:
As part of the Police Commemoration Day observance, Sopore Police inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament at District Police Lines Sopore to pay tribute to the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Sopore, Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS, in the presence of senior police officers and officials of Police District Sopore. The event aimed to honour the sacrifices of martyrs while promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among youth.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Sopore highlighted that the event symbolizes the unity, strength, and resilience of the police force. “This tournament is not just a sporting event — it is a tribute to our martyrs and a reminder that their spirit continues to inspire us to serve with courage and commitment,” he said.

Sopore Police reiterated its commitment to encouraging youth participation in sports and constructive activities, fostering a sense of teamwork and fitness while deepening police-public connect.

Press Release, 4 October 2025 - The 13th Battalion JKAP Humhama successfully concluded a volleyball tournament under the Civic Action Program, which began on 2 October 2025. The tournament saw the participation of 8 teams, and the concluding ceremony was graced by CO JKAP 13th BN SSP Sh. Mohd Zaid-JKPS, Adjutant DySP Pir Atiqullah, and W/DySP Mrs Nargis Kirmani, who facilitated the winner with a prize of 10,000, the runner-up with 5,000, and 1,000 each for the other six participating teams. The CO JKAP 13th BN extended good wishes to the participants and best wishes for their future endeavors.
