Tension erupted between TDP leaders in Pulivendula following a dispute near a Vinayaka idol.

Local TDP leader Pushpanath Reddy honoured TDP MLA candidate Beetech Ravi by draping a shawl over him. Another TDP leader, Vijay Kumar Reddy, reportedly objected after not being given a shawl, leading to a clash.

Pushpanath Reddy and his group allegedly pelted stones at Vijay Kumar Reddy’s house, damaged vehicles and attacked the property. Gunmen from Vijay Kumar Reddy’s house reportedly fired two rounds into the air.

Stone-pelting was reported from both groups, with three vehicles damaged. Police arrived at the scene and dispersed both groups.

A heavy tree fell on an RTC bus near Hanamkonda Public Gardens, leaving passengers gripped by fear and anxiety.

Two bikes and three autos were severely damaged in the incident. No casualties were reported.
