The Second Annual Conference of ‘Society of Psychiatric Nurses Manipur’, (SPNMCON), 2023 was held today (3rd March, 2023) at Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal.

The conference was organized by SPNM in association with Department of Psychiatry, RIMS & Share and Care Foundation, Wangkhei, Imphal.

Director/Consultant Neurologist, Manipur Health Services, Govt. of Manipur and DR. R.K. LENIN SINGH, Prof. Dept. of Psychiatry, RIMS/ Founder, Share and Care (SAC), Wangkhei graced the event as the Chief Guest, President, Special Guest and Guests of Honor respectively.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India inaugurated newly constructed MRI Block with 3-Tesla MRI Machine, PG Ladies Hostel, New Neuro ICU, College of Nursing Buildings on 28th February, 2021 in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal. Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Imphal also present in the inauguration.
Later on an inaugural function was held in the Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal. Dr. RK. Ranjan Singh, Hon’ble MP, Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Manipur, Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, Hon’ble MP, Rajya Sabha, Shri V. Vumlunmang, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Manipur, Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Imphal and Prof. H. Priyoshakhi Devi, Medical Superintendent (i/c), RIMS Hospital, were on dias.

The Newly constructed Community Hall in the RIMS Staff Quarters Complex was Inaugurated by Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Imphal on 21 Dec. 2020. During the Inauguration, Shri Kaikam Doungel, Deputy Director (Admn.), Prof. Th. Sachin Deba Singh, Head of Department, Shri Hopeson Keising, Advisor, RIMS Quarters Welfare Association, Shri Jugeshwor Singh, Consultant (Civil), Engineering Cell were on dais as President and Guests of Honour respectively. Gifts were distributed to those employeed who got tested COVID-19 positive during Pandemic.

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal celebrated Constitution Day on 26th Nov.2020 at the Conference Room of Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal. Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director RIMS, Imphal along with Prof. Ch. Arunkumar Singh, Medical Superintendent RIMS Hospital, Faculty members and officials joined the Hon’ble President of India in reading of the Preamble. The day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
