The *Imphal Book Fair* stands as a legacy to time and transformation, weaving stories beyond the pages of its books. The first image, from 1999, captures the 8th Imphal Book Fair—a simpler scene, but indicative of the 90’s. Only a few local book stalls and more publishers from outside Manipur were there. Fast forward 25 years to the present 31st Imphal Book Fair, 2024, the very same location, Central Library Imphal radiates a vibrant energy uniquely now from many independent local book stalls (Hundred Flowers being one & low key proud of it :)). It should not be an exaggeration to mention that Imphal’s literary culture itself is also on the rise.

The transformation over a quarter of a century symbolizes how literature, inside the city, has flourished—bridging generations of readers under one banner of knowledge and creativity. This year, Hundred Flowers at the 31st Imphal Book Fair invites everyone to celebrate this journey where the past meets the future, and every book tells a story waiting to be discovered. Overall, let’s not stop spreading the joy and values of reading.
Come one, come all 👀
