⚠️ Ningthoukhong Incident: Vehicle with ‘Suspected Kuki’ Occupants Targeted in Viral Video

📍Imphal, Manipur:

A disturbing video circulating on social media has raised fresh concerns amid the ongoing ethnic tensions in the state. The footage allegedly shows a vehicle being intercepted by members of the Meitei community, who suspect the driver or individuals inside to be from the Kuki community.

In the video, a woman’s voice is distinctly heard shouting phrases such as “It’s Kuki, catch it,” while also calling on the public to come out. She is also heard urging that the vehicle be “destroyed” or “vandalised.” The crowd is then seen stopping and damaging the vehicle. The incident is reported to have taken place in Ningthoukhong, although the exact timing and details of the incident remains unverified.

Visuals further show the vehicle attempting to escape as tensions escalate. However, it is unclear whether the vehicle managed to get away or what happened to those inside. As of now, there is no confirmed information regarding the identity or safety of the individuals involved.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement, and the authenticity of the video is still under scrutiny.

The incident comes in the backdrop of the continuing ethnic conflict in Manipur, where movement between areas dominated by different communities has become highly restricted. Members of the Kuki community, in particular, face significant risks while traveling through Meitei-inhabited regions, contributing to heightened fear and uncertainty.

Security forces are expected to look into the matter to ascertain the facts and take appropriate action.

❗ Manipur Police Havildar Arrested for Alleged Links with KCP; Raises Concerns Over Internal Infiltration

: In a development that has raised serious concerns over internal security, the Manipur Police has arrested one of its own personnel, a Havildar, for allegedly maintaining active links with the banned Meitei insurgent group Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP).

According to official sources, the accused Havildar was reportedly functioning as an active cadre of the outfit while serving within the police force. Authorities believe he may have been involved in activities that could compromise operational integrity and security.

This arrest follows a similar case in which another personnel of the Manipur Police was taken into custody for allegedly recruiting individuals for the same militant organization. The repeated instances have intensified concerns regarding infiltration of Meitei insurgent elements within law enforcement agencies in the state.

In a separate but related development last year, a senior member of the armed group Arambai Tenggol, who was also serving as a Head Constable in the Manipur Police was arrested for his alleged role in orchestrating an ambush targeting a senior IPS officer. The officer, identified as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Manipur, was reportedly targeted in connection with multiple serious offenses.

Investigations revealed that the accused was also allegedly involved in the kidnapping of an Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl SP), looting of weapons, cross-border trafficking of arms, and holding civilians hostage at gunpoint.

Security agencies have expressed concern over the recurring involvement of serving personnel in insurgent-linked activities, noting that such cases pose a significant threat to public safety and institutional credibility.

🗞️ Eastern Zone Village Volunteers Sound Warning on CM’s Tengnoupal Visit, Declare ‘This Is Not Kangpokpi,’ Warn of Consequences if Ignored

📍Tengnoupal, April 13, 2026

The Village Volunteers of the Eastern Zone (VVEZ) have issued a strong press statement opposing the proposed visit of Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand to Tengnoupal district, warning of serious consequences if the visit proceeds.

In the statement released on April 13, the group expressed “strong disappointment” over reports of the Chief Minister’s planned visit. It reiterated its firm stance that no Meitei individual would be allowed to cross the buffer zone between “Kangleipak (Meitei land)” and Tengnoupal district, described as “Kuki land,” until the Government of India formally acknowledges the separation and addresses their demand for a separate administration in the form of a Union Territory with a legislature.

The VVEZ also issued a direct warning to the Chief Minister and his associates, asserting that Tengnoupal is not Kangpokpi and that any attempt at intimidation or coercion would be met with “resolute resistance.” The statement further claimed that tactics allegedly used in Kangpokpi would not succeed in Tengnoupal.

Citing prevailing ground realities and public sentiment, the group cautioned that proceeding with the visit despite these warnings could lead to “serious and unavoidable consequences.” It added that responsibility for any such outcome would rest with those who ignore the concerns and position of the people.

The Senapati Updates is pointing out a simple but important issue, lack of basic cultural understanding.

Naga and Kuki communities have their own distinct traditional attires, identities, and histories. These are not small differences. So when people cannot even tell them apart, it shows a clear lack of awareness or respect. After living together for more than 50 years in a state called Manipur, people should at least be able to recognize these basic differences.

This mistake is not just about clothing. Traditional attire represents identity and culture. Misidentifying it can feel disrespectful, especially in a place like Manipur where identity matters a lot.

It highlights a contradiction. Some people try to speak about or gain support from Naga communities, but at the same time, they cannot even correctly identify Naga attire. This makes their words seem uninformed and not genuine.

In short, it is ignorance. It is saying that true coexistence is not just living in the same place, but also understanding and respecting each other’s identity.

Fact Check ❗

Claims circulating on social media portraying a “new” video from the April 10, 2026 Litan incident are not just inaccurate, they are deliberate propaganda and disinformation.

The footage being circulated by certain pages, such as Khanuithot Khon, is not from yesterday's incident in Litan, Ukhrul. The exact same video was already in circulation in April 2024, as documented by platforms such as Manipur News Hour, which explicitly dated it to 27/04/2024.

The identical frames, camera angles, and sequences leave no room for ambiguity. This is not a coincidence or confusion, it is a calculated reuse of old footage, repackaged to fabricate a false narrative around current events.

Presenting a 2024 video as “visual evidence” of the April 10, 2026 Litan incident is a clear act of propaganda, intended to manipulate public perception and inflame tensions.

This pattern is deeply concerning. Recycling archived conflict footage and passing it off as current is a known tactic of disinformation campaigns, designed to mislead the public and distort reality.

Multiple propagandist accounts have amplified this false claim, widely sharing the 2024 video as if it were from yesterday’s incident, deliberately spreading disinformation at scale.

⚠️ This is not a misunderstanding. It is intentional narrative manipulation. Viewers are strongly urged to verify sources and question viral content before accepting it as truth.

🚨Tronglaobi Blast Expose: Ex-BJP Spokesperson Denies Kuki Involvement, Points to Hidden Valley Conspiracy

A former BJP Chief Spokesperson has ruled out Kuki involvement in the Tronglaobi attack, saying the evidence points to a planned operation by valley-based elements using a remote device.

This comes days after the Manipur Chief Minister also expressed suspicion that local residents (Meitei) may have been behind the RPG attack that claimed two children innocent lives.

⏯️ Full subtitle of the video:

There's something deeply suspicious about the Tronglaobi incident. They abandoned their weapons, didn't they?

The RPG warhead was fitted onto a pipe to disguise it as a Pumpi. The Kukis are never known to abandon their weapons whenever they launch an offensive and during retreating.

So why was this RPG fitted with a remote control and deliberately left exposed in the open field without detonating it?

It was clearly done by someone terrified of their identity being discovered. Someone whose exposure would have shaken the entire state. That's why they rigged the device with a remote detonator, so they could detonate it from a safe distance without raising any suspicion about who was behind the trigger.

We've all seen the videos circulating widely on social media.

If the Kukis had carried out the attack, they could've simply said we've killed few Meiteis, mission accomplished and gathered their gears and withdrawn into the hills.

But instead, the attack was executed in complete secrecy using a remote-controlled pumpi, which is highly unprecedented.

This is precisely what the Kukis have been claiming and what many of us have long suspected. Every piece of evidence at the Tronglaobi incident points toward individuals from the valley orchestrating this strike from a distance, in a highly covert manner, using remote control.

In this ongoing conflict, where both sides have been killing each other openly, carrying out such a devious act with a remote-controlled pumpi is something unheard of.

Rigging a bomb with a remote and planting it in an open field reflects an extremely elaborate plan by cowards. But they weren't afraid of detonating the bomb itself because they were cowards, they were far more terrified of anyone discovering their true identity.

So, who are these individuals so terrified of their identities being revealed, Why is that?

📰 CM Yumnam Khemchand crosses buffer zone peacefully; hope rises in Manipur!

🕛 10 April, 2026 | Manipur

In a significant and encouraging development, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has successfully travelled through Kuki-inhabited areas, crossing the long-standing buffer zone without any resistance or disruption.

For nearly three years, these areas have remained divided due to violence, tension, and deep mistrust. Movement across the buffer zone was almost impossible, especially for leaders from the valley. Many earlier attempts, by officials, public transport, and individuals were met with strong resistance and could not succeed.

That is why this moment stands out.

The Chief Minister, being from the Meitei community, crossing into Kuki areas peacefully sends a strong and positive message. It reflects a possible shift in the situation on the ground, one that shows signs of reduced tension and a willingness, at least in part, to allow engagement and movement.

This step can help rebuild confidence between communities. It shows that dialogue and connection may slowly replace fear and division. Even a single peaceful visit can open the door for more interactions, better understanding, and cooperation in the future.

More importantly, it gives hope to the people of Manipur. After years of conflict, such moments remind everyone that peace is still possible. It suggests that normalcy, though gradual, can return.

While challenges remain, this peaceful crossing is a positive sign, a small but meaningful step toward stability, unity, and a better future for Manipur.

Rocket-Propellled Shell That Killed Two Children Was ‘Fired From Close Range’, Not From The Hills: Probe

A rocket-propelled shell that killed two children in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai village, in Manipur’s Bishnupur district, on Tuesday morning appears to have been launched from close proximity, according to preliminary findings.

“Preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of local elements. The shell was not fired from the hills but from an area close to the village,” a security establishment officer said, as reported by The Indian Express.
