🔼CONFUSED ABOUT CARBS?
Refined grains such as white bread, pizza crust, pretzels, hamburger buns, mega muffins and deep fried items are bad carbohydrates. During the refining process, these grains are stripped of B-vitamins, fiber and certain minerals.

Other examples of bad carbohydrates include chips, cookies, sodas, bagels, cake, pastries, pancakes, high fructose corn syrup and baked goods. These foods are low in nutrient density as they have little or no nutritional value and supply a large amount of calories.

🔼JUNK CARBS ARE:

❌High in calories for a small portion.
❌High in refined sugars - Studies show refined sugars like high fructose corn syrup make up more than 20% of the calories we eat each day. Refined sugars are linked to disease, obesity and type 2 diabetes. White sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and added sugars are examples.
❌High in refined grains - Wheat flour (maida) stripped of nutrient value made to look white in color.
❌Zero to minimal Fiber.
❌Sodium - High
❌Fats - High
❌Cholesterol - High
❌Trans fats - High

🔼GOOD CARBS ARE:

✔️The healthiest sources of carbohydrates - unprocessed or minimally processed, whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans - promote good health by delivering vitamins, minerals, fiber, and a host of important phytonutrients.

✔️Don't paint ALL CARBS with the same misinformed brush. Real unprocessed carbs are the complete opposite to this lot.

🔸Run for Fun!! It could be a 15 mins run or a 42 km Marathon. In either case, it has immense health benefits that last even after the run is over.

🔸Running is a natural weight bearing full body exercise. Its equipment free and you get to decide the pace of your run.

🔸It has been backed by science & immense research that a 20-30 mins endurance activity like running not only improves your lung functioning but also has a positive impact on your cardiovascular & heart health.

🔸It regulates your blood glucose level, increases insulin sensitivity, strengthens your muscles & helps keep your blood pressure under control due to improved blood circulation throughout the body.

🔸So rather than popping pills or depending on sugary foods, try a short run which will give you a natural high to elevate your mood, improve brain functioning & will serve as the best anti-depressant without any side effects.

🔸The best part is that you can always fit in a Run! You can start with a short run daily and gradually increase the duration and intensity depending on your comfort level.

Are you one of those people who think they don't need to drink milk every day? Then you are missing out on some amazing health benefits!

Drink your cup of Milk daily and keep your body happy, healthy, and strong.

🔸Drinking milk also completes your calcium and vitamin 'D' needs. Read the table to find the correct amount for your consumption!

🔸We are usually in a doubt like:

• Can we have milk while losing weight?
• Do I need to take low fat milk to lose weight?
The answer is Yes ✔️

Milk and milk products are completely safe and they are a great source of calcium, protein, fats and carbohydrates.

✔️Milk is a source of protein, it may aid weight loss.
✔️You can take any of the milk type in your diet as long as it fits in your calories for the day.
✔️Soy milk or almond milk won't do any weight loss magic, only switch to them if you are lactose intolerant.
