It’s heartbreaking🥹 to hear about the passing of Ratan Tata, a true visionary and humanitarian. His leadership, kindness, and commitment to making the world a better place touched countless lives. Ratan Tata wasn't just a business icon; he was a symbol of integrity, compassion, and innovation. The world has lost a remarkable soul, and his absence will be deeply felt. May his legacy continue to inspire generations to come. Rest in peace, Sir Ratan Tata. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

STAND WITH THE CHAKMA PEOPLE: End the Violence in Chittagong Hill Tracts

In the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of Bangladesh, the indigenous Chakma people are facing an escalating crisis. Recent clashes between Bengali settlers and the indigenous communities have resulted in devastating violence. Over the past month, hundreds of Chakma homes and shops have been set on fire, and at least nine indigenous people have lost their lives, including elders and community leaders.

This wave of violence is not an isolated incident—it’s part of a larger, systemic effort to displace the Chakma and other indigenous groups from their ancestral lands. For decades, the Chakma people have been fighting for recognition of their rights, protection of their land, and preservation of their identity. The 1997 CHT Peace Accord was supposed to bring peace and autonomy, but its implementation has been weak. Instead of safeguarding their rights, the region has seen increased militarization, land grabs, and repeated acts of violence against its indigenous population.

We must stand with the Chakma people and amplify their voices. Their homes are being burned, their places of worship destroyed, and their very existence threatened. We cannot stay silent as they endure this injustice.

Please share this post, raise awareness, and demand justice for the Chakma people. The government of Bangladesh must fully implement the CHT Peace Accord, protect the rights of indigenous communities, and hold those responsible for these violent acts accountable. The international community must also take action and put pressure on the government to ensure the safety and rights of the Chakma people.
