An animal health camp cm vaccination drive were held today at Khemlee village in the Sagalee sub-division. The program was organized by Mete Dene MPCS Ltd. (facilitated by BMMU Sagalee, ArSRLM) in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, and Dairy Development, Sagalee.
Dr. T. R. Nabam Hina, a senior veterinary officer, served as the resource person for the event. The day-long training program and vaccination drive were attended by Livelihood Community Resource Persons (CRPs) from Toru, Parang, Leporiang, and Sagalee circles, as well as the general public of Khemlee village and members of Mete Dene MPCS Ltd.
In total, over 20 cattle owners vaccinated their cows and Mithun, and more than 40 participants attended the training program.
During the session, Dr. T.R. Hina emphasized the importance of de-worming, vaccination, feed management, market value, disease cycles, their prevalence, and precautions for pig and poultry farming. He also highlighted the significance of ear tagging for cattle. Furthermore, Dr. Hina raised awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in meat shops.
Certificates of participation were provided to all the Livelihood Community Resource Persons (LH-CRPs) participants at the end of the event.
