AEDMA mourns demise of former Minister , Medi Ram Dodum

The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) mourned the loss of former Cabinet Minister Medi Ram Dodum, who passed away on Sunday following a prolonged illness. He was 69.

Born in 1955, Dodum leaves behind a legacy of public service and warmth. A humble child from Mlorang village, he rose to the highest levels of executive through his dedication. He studied at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia in West Bengal. He later joined the SSB as a clerk, served as an LDC on an ad-hoc basis at the Taxation branch of the Director of Social Welfare in the Civil Secretariat, Itanagar.

Dodum's political journey began in 1984, and he served in various capacities within the Congress party. As Minister of Horticulture and Fisheries, he made significant contributions to the state's development.

Beyond politics, Dodum was instrumental in forming the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) and drafting the bylaws of the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS).

May his soul rest in peace.
