Tingong Wangpan has made history as the first para-athlete from Arunachal Pradesh to join the Sports Authority of India (SAI) National Centre of Excellence in Gandhinagar. The Paralympic Association of Arunachal expresses gratitude to SAI for recognizing his talent.
At just 21, Wangpan has brought pride to Arunachal Pradesh and the nation by winning two gold medals at the 7th International Para Athletics Championship in 2025.

What is the current status of the PRC issue?
We are still quite perplexed. While many Chakma people reside in capital regions, a significant number still live near Høllongi airports,(Presently they are concentrated in eight blocks in between the Maguni river (Hollongi)) and they can be found on all sides of the state. I think Unfortunately, our AAPSU. and other pressure groups seem to be absent in addressing this matter. Since the election, there has been no noticeable action from APSU regarding the PRC issue.

What about this six communities for their PRC - Adivasi, Deori, Gorkha, Mishing, Moran, and Sonowal Kachari
- mainly inhabiting Namsai and Changlang districts of the state. ????

Man Arrested For Sending Video of Attempted Harm to 3-Year-Old Daughter in Itanagar
𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝟑-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫.Itanagar,Dec 25: On 24th December 2024, a written FIR was received from Ms. Kioda Yapi (33 years), D/O Late Tade Soki, a resident of D-Sector, Itanagar. She alleged that her husband, Mr. Kioda Babu, had been continuously assaulting and harassing her for the past two years. The complainant further reported a shocking incident that occurred on 13th September 2024, at approximately 11:00 AM, when her husband sent her a video via WhatsApp in which he attempted to hang their youngest daughter, aged 3 years, by the neck.Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under: • ITA WPS Case No. 70/24 • Sections 85 of the BNS Act read with Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.The case has been endorsed to SI Dopi Pakam for investigation.Actions Taken: 1).The statement of the complainant has been recorded under Section 180 of the BNSS Act. 2).The accused, Mr. Kioda Babu (33 years), S/O Mr. Kioda Tagin, residing in D-Sector, Doordarshan Office Area, Itanagar, was promptly arrested. 3).The accused was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Yupia, and has been remanded to judicial custody.Further investigation is underway.
