Narasimha Chaturdashi:
Narasimha Chaturdashi is a Hindu festival that celebrates the appearance (Jayanti) of Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu, who is half-man and half-lion. It typically falls on the Chaturdashi (14th day) of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Vaishakha (April–May).
Significance:
Lord Narasimha appeared to protect his devotee Prahlada and destroy the demon king Hiranyakashipu, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
The form of Narasimha is especially fierce and is worshipped for protection from evil forces and obstacles.
Rituals:
Devotees observe a fast (vrat) on this day.
Special pujas, chants, and readings from the Bhagavata Purana and Narasimha Kavacham are performed.
Temples of Lord Vishnu and Narasimha host grand celebrations, especially in South India
