Golden Boy is a six-episode anime series.
It's about a 25-year-old freeter, pervert, and "traveling student" named Kintaro Oe.
Kintaro is a genius who completed all his university courses but quit before graduating.
He rides his bicycle through Japan, looking for his purpose in life. He tries every job he can to find something he likes.
Kintaro is a low-income freelancer. He's looking to learn about life, the world, and women. He's at the top of his class at Tokyo University.
The series was produced by Shueisha and KSS in 1995. It was first licensed in North America by ADV Films in 1996.
