Media Coverage of ICSSR conducted a day-long National Seminar on ‘ऊर्जा, स्थिरता और जलवायु परिवर्तन: भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली एवं दृष्टिकोण’ (Energy, Sustainability & Climate Change: Indian Knowledge Systems & Perspectives).

Climate Change is one of the biggest challenges of our time!

Highlighting sustainability and the integration of these from Indian knowledge systems is a subject of discussion. In alignment with this, the Department of Media, Communication and Fine Arts, along with the support of ICSSR conducted a day-long National Seminar on ‘ऊर्जा, स्थिरता और जलवायु परिवर्तन: भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली एवं दृष्टिकोण’ (Energy, Sustainability & Climate Change: Indian Knowledge Systems & Perspectives).

ICSSR-Sponsored National Seminar on Energy, Sustainability, and Climate Change Held at MUJ

Manipal University Jaipur successfully hosted the National Seminar on “ऊर्जा, स्थिरता और जलवायु परिवर्तन: भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली एवं दृष्टिकोण”, organized by the Department of Media, Communication & Fine Arts in collaboration with Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi, convened By Dr Prabhat Dixit and Co-Convened by Dr Vinod Yadav

The seminar commenced with Prof. (Dr.) Nitu Bhatnagar, Provost, MUJ, delivering the welcome address, where she highlighted the importance of integrating traditional wisdom with modern approaches to address pressing environmental challenges.

The inaugural session featured eminent speakers including Acharya Mithilesh Sharan Nandini Ji Maharaj, spiritual philosopher and thinker from Ayodhya and Shri Gopal Arya, National Environmental Head, Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The sessions explored themes of sustainability from the lens of Indian knowledge traditions, ancient texts, and modern science.
Dr. Om Prakash Bairwa, Commissioner, College Education, Rajasthan, chaired one of the sessions and stressed the role of higher education in shaping environmentally responsible citizens and policy-driven sustainability practices.
Throughout the day, plenary and technical sessions witnessed scholarly deliberations from academicians, researchers, and thought leaders. The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Vijay Vyas, Director of IGRF, Jaipur, who spoke on the role of ESG in mitigating climate change, along with Prof. Milind Sharma of MBM University, Jodhpur, who addressed sustainable energy practices in India. Prof. Brajesh Kumar, Dean, FoMCA, presided the valedictory session and underlined MUJ’s commitment to fostering meaningful academic discussions on sustainability.

The seminar concluded with certificate distribution, participants’ feedback, and a vote of thanks, reaffirming MUJ’s commitment to research, dialogue, and sustainable development.

A Historic Day for Sports at Manipal University Jaipur!
Manipal University Jaipur proudly inaugurated its world-class cricket ground today, adding yet another milestone to its growing sports infrastructure. The grand ceremony was led by our esteemed President, Dr. N. N. Sharma, along with Registrar, Dr. Amit Soni and Provost, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar.
The event was further graced by Dr. Kuldip Singh Sangwan (Dean-FoSTA), Dr. Brajesh Kumar (Dean-FoMCA), Dr. Madhura Yadav (Dean-Students Welfare), and several Associate Deans, Directors, HoDs, faculty, staff, and students, who came together to witness this remarkable occasion.
The highlight of the day was a friendly cricket match between students and faculty members, filling the air with cheer, energy, and sportsmanship spirit.
On this occasion, Prof. N. N. Sharma, President MUJ, expressed:
“This new addition to our sports facilities will definitely help students explore their sporting prowess and encourage them to balance academics with physical fitness and team spirit.”
This state-of-the-art cricket ground is more than just a playing field – it is a symbol of MUJ’s commitment to holistic education, nurturing excellence in both academics and extracurriculars.
With this new facility, our students are all set to scale new heights in sports, teamwork, and fitness!

SPICMACAY MUJ Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Directorate of Students’ Welfare and the Department of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (FoMCA), proudly hosted a mesmerizing Violin Concert & Lecture Demonstration at the Smt. Vasanti R. Pai Auditorium.
Renowned Hindustani Violinist & Music Composer Ustaad Johar Ali, a top graded All India Radio artist, enchanted the audience with his soulful performance, accompanied by Tabla maestro Shri Asif Ali.
The evening beautifully celebrated the rich cultural heritage of India, leaving students and faculty with an unforgettable experience of rhythm, melody, and tradition.
